It appears that if you try and do both quests for Harrowmont and Prince Bhelen the thugs in Dust town will not drop the finger bone token to open the suspicious door. Several posts about this issue here and on other forums offer no resolution for the bug.  30 hours into the game and I am now stuck. My last saves are already after the thug fight. Please is there any resolution to this issue availible? I don't think I can restart the game from the begining without losing my mind.

Ass licking aside, is there any way to fix this glitch through an update or DLC?

No patch yet, no dlc fixes it yet. Patch has been stated to be released prior to Ostigar but they haven't listed anything about what the patch will fix besides nerd-chievements. (As far as I've seen)

Yeah, siding with two sides is I think -possible- but with the many game breaking bugs, I wouldn't advise asslicking both parties, if you are doing for achievements. Make a save prior to making the decision and then just do the quest. Re-load and pick the party that fits your RP character.

the thugs in dust town wont drop the finger bone until you've asked around about them. if you haven't tried this just start questioning the NPCs in dust town and then enter the last shack on the right. good luck

That's funny because the developers designed the game with conversational options to allow the player the flexibility to "lick two asses at the same time". =)

Of course, but do you trust BW's game still when aware it has quite a few game breaking bugs? Not to mention, pulling off two sides is a tricky and complicating matter, increasing your chances to bug somewhere.

Designed in general, yes, but the game explicitly tells you NOT to go to the other side.

However, this hasn't ever happened to me. Are you sure you talked to the woman who used to run for Jarvia and had her tell you about the finger bone keys?

Where does it say that? I think I missed it.:P

The seconds of both candidates warn you during dialogue with them NOT to talk to the other side and, if you do so and then come back and tell them what the other side is accusing their patron of, they make it quite clear that they are unhappy and that you are jeapordizing your chances to win the loyalty of their patron. This is all in the dialogue.

annoying bug. I'm there as well with over 30hrs played. All my saves are after I fuct up with both bhelen's and Harrowmont's guys. None of the mwill speak to me. DAMN.

I nearly bought the game for MAC instead of replaying it on PS3 cos I heard that version was better, but then I thought - 'why reward bioware for allowing dead ends in the storyline".

Hope they fix this.

See i just sided with one, yet I've killed Jarvia like Bhelen asked, then killed all her lackeys and looted "ALL" of their bodies. Still, when i return to him he tells me I've not done it. WTF?

I had the same problem, I did both quests for each man. they both got upset and told me to tell them what the other was going to do.... thing is, neither will let me see harromont or behlen so I can't get the info for them, Thus rendering the quest unfinishable. I luckily had ONE save (and only one) that was before I started both quest lines so I reloaded it.

it is strange, however, that I managed to do both missions on a previous character without incident.

Was this issue fixed with the update that was released today?

No. Today wasn't the real patch. It was supposed to be just a minor achievement patch.

However, it broke specializations. :)

What the hell, this still hasn't been patched yet? I got this game Day 1, put hours more into it than anyone I knew and now everyone's beat it because I'm not redoing all that with another character just because someone screwed up coding.

This is very disappointing. I'm not touching Awakening or Mass Effect 2 for a very long time until I can be ensured that 1) they are stable and not as buggy and 2) this is fixed so that I can know supporting Bioware is smart.

It's odd the 1st time I played I worked both sides and didn't gltch I'm guessing because I talked to the 1st guy b4 I did the mission for the 2nd. The 2nd playthrough I'm stuck...it bites!!!!
