Hello,
I am doing some recipes for the SOZ crafting plus. At the moment I have made 150 recipes (with the scripts). I am tryind to do some the recipes I can see in the campaing (for example restrictions, unlimited ammo, weapon and armor enchantments...) but I can't manage to do the recipe for the damage reduction (for example I create an enchantment recipe that add resistance slashing 20 (for the test) and even if the item has the property resistance slashing 20 the damage is not removed (it says the ennemy did 10 points of damage and 10 have been absorbed but I still take 10 points of damage). Can you please tell me how I can do this recipe?
I have seen another way but the item has no property.
I use the values
ITEM_PROPERTY_DAMAGE_REDUCTION = 90;
ITEM_PROPERTY_DAMAGE_RESISTANCE = 23 ;
Is it possible or not?
PS: If someone is interested in the recipes I have already done, I can send them.
Thank you
Marc

Damage Resistance vs. physical damage is deprecated in NwN2, it's leftover from NwN1
damage resistance now applies only to elemental damages, and physical damages are handled in an entirely different way, by a trait of Items: Damage Reduction.
I'm not sure if it's possible to create the "itemproperty" Damage Reduction properly. It's like a property that gets put on an item with the toolset, like "tag", "description", or "base armor type"
... will be dabbling into this myself sometime, since the Complete Craftsman still has some recipes, Resistance vs. physDamage - and i want to either fix them or get rid of them ...

Thank you.
If I understand correctly, I should create a crafting recipe that gived the correct item instead of an enchantment (and in that case I should also correct the basic items as the items that you can see in the game (at least the one I tried) didn't work.

yep that sounds like the most straightforward way.
although, here are a couple of threads to browse before/while diving in:
Using OR logic with EffectDamageReduction - says there is some sort of return using itemproperties, but maybe not what's expected (and i'm not convinced the words "reduction" and "resistance" were used consistently ... )
Damage Resistance - this points to the Itemized solution ...
ps. have a glance at the wiki.Page

Someone using SoZ Crafting Plus. Cool. By design the recipes you created should be compatible with any other campaigns that use SoZ Crafting Plus, so I encourage you to consider releasing your recipes as recipe packs.

Hello,
I have made some changes in the scripts too : I use a part of the scripts of the TCC to enable the restrictions to alow one more enchantment (so for example an item with a restriction can have 4 other enchantments or the restrictions would be worthless). The material for a weapon / armor doesn't count ...
Can you please tell me how I can upload my recipes?

Just upload your collection of recipes to the NWN2 Vault or to Nexus. You should not upload your own version of my scripts though. If you send your script modifications to me I'll try to work them into my version as an optional feature and release them as a patch, giving appropriate credit.

Hello,
The recipes are there
http://nwvault.ign.c...l.Detail&id=579
You need the modified scripts to be able to work with the restrictions
