Why can't we just explore planets with a vehicle that's better than a mako? Like a mantis gunship or some other areal travel?

because the Mako is designed to help on any terrain or surface you may encounter , kinda hard to replace something which is all ready good xp

I love the Mako, I love planet explorations. I hate scanning for minerals, and I absolutely despite scanning for war assets.

yes yes and YES! ^^ thumbs up

+1. And I agree with Vega. The other hovercraft thing which I can't remember the name of right now was like tissue paper.

I had no problem driving the Mako with the Xbox.

And it got me thru a Mass Relay--the Conduit--intact. While doing a typical Mako roll on some Geth when we catapulted out at the Citadel.

I loved that buggy. But hey, if BW can improve on it (better than Hammerhead), great. I'd like a vehicle to do some independent exploration. At least some....with interesting things/situations to discover.

I'd just prefer not to be driven around and dropped off/picked up like a senior citizen fun bus.

You lost me at "good"

I'm serious.

Also, with an areal vehicle you don't need to bother with terrian, you can go anywhere and land anywhere you'd like.

I hated Mako with a burning passion first time around. Then ME2 came out and planet scanning drove me mad. Halfway through the game I missed the Mako so bad! I went back to ME1 eventually and enjoyed my Mako rides ever since. My Shepard's favorite theme song while driving the Mako: "I believe I can fly" Image IPBImage IPB

Win.

I kind of loved the Mako, but then I apparently had the superior PC controls.

If that giant piece of crap comes anywhere near my Xbox ME3 then I will leave in in some ditch in trebin to rust. But its welcome back to my PC version.

Mako was pretty easy for me on Xbox, you just need to get used to it.

It makes sense to have the hovercraft be a tissues, since the Mako was a sneeze.

Doesn't really make sense for Shepard to a take time out and go play around on an unexplored world while here's a war going on. Plus all the mako would do would be to let us collect war assets. Between MP, all the SP missions, SP DLC to come and them lowering the EMS in SP we don't need all these freakin' war assets.

I really miss the Mako. I hated how all those whiners who bellyached about how 'difficult' it was to drive basically wiped out any chance of it making it into ME2, where it was replaced by tiny claustrophobic levels. Not to mention the fact that I can recall at least one name on these forums who p***ed and moaned about the Mako in ME1 and then, when he got his way, he was one of the people whining about planet scanning.

That said, I really enjoyed the Hammerhead. I just don't understand why they made it so fragile.

Realistically, I couldn't see either fitting in with the whole 'build army to save galaxy' MO of ME3... bu that doesn't mean I wouldn't welcome it back in a DLC

and i suppose you would rather have a hovercraft that eats unimaginable amounts of fuel just to sky and jetdive as oposed to half a tank in the mako that takes u through all the planet nice and easy given the low gravity.
I wonder if they make u pay for the fuel u use in ME4 , how many would use that hovercraft.

Post of the week!

The planet exploration and thus the Mako, too, were reasons why Mass Effect become something very special to me. No game before had caused me to feel as if I was really on another planet, exploring it.

And I never got why people hated the controls. Don't people ever put effort into something? Yes, it's a game, but you still gotta do something! What if Mario Cart came out nowadays? People would probably also complain about that.

Flying planed at GTA SA on PC, THAT was hard. The Mako was a trip to the beach.

Hey, I'm up for an aerial vehicle. As long as it doesn't cry like a special snowflake just because it got hit once by a rocket.

Anything to bring back some kind of independent vehicle exploration in future Sci-Fi BW games. If there are any....:crying:

And give us things to really discover. Besides minerals and stuff like that.
