Should of had these threads back when ME1 arrived. Most of them were consistent with 'Mako Hate'
I don't know why people hate the Mako , planet exploration via the Mako is one of the best things you can find in a Space Opera.

The Mako was weird and awkward to control for many. I would have preferred more unique environments to explore like lush jungles or forests. In ME1, we got a lot of re-textured mountainous planets. If it gets brought back, both of those things must be fixed.
That being said, I played on the Xbox 360 and I could make the Mako dance. I felt like Tony Hawk in a tank. Nothing says "badass" like dodging a rocket by jumping in the air and doing a barrel roll.

It was weird because instead of having a pair of drive wheels like a car it has 3 drive wheels per side and thus handles like a tank.Once you figure that one out the Mako handles quite logically (gravity failures notwithstanding).
And about the planets...What exactly is unique about jungles and forests? I see that crap just by looking out the window. That, and garden worlds are both rare and colonized in ME universe. The barren rock is what you are most likely going to find in space, not some earth-clone.

Agreed.
I guess I wouldn't mind visiting a few garden worlds, but definitely not too many.
This:
was more memorable for me than the verdant but really nondescript planets we got to see in ME2.

i have to ask , if you don't fancy exploring worlds why are u playing a space opera ?
why not Counter Strike?

Then what's the point in playing a Space game , space is so big , exploration is the basics in every aspect.

Huh? I agree with you.
I would love to see more planets, but not necessarily garden worlds. Planets like Solcrum (the picture above) were what made ME1 so memorable for me. I loved the planetary codex entries and the exploration...
I'm just saying seeing planets with jungles and forests would not interest me as much, but even then, I'd still prefer them to nothing.

Planet exploration was what really drew me into Mass Effect 1 and just completely blew my mind. It was what made the game revolutionary. Don't get me wrong, they definitely picked a good direction with the series, but I still miss a lot of those free RPG elements and exploration. Just.....maybe include less 85 degree cliff walls.
