Really the best damn vehicle the series ever had sure people complained about its poor handling but they were ****** poor drivers to begin with the Mako is like the Normandy anyone could drive it but it takes a master to make it drive like a dream!
Not to mention Mako beats colossi every time in fender to cranium combat!

I loved the Mako; climbing up vertical cliff faces, goomba stomping enemies, blasting geth with the main canon and it took skill to drive effectively.
QFT the key word here is SKILL which I'm guessing all the complainers w/ the 360 aren't employing. I had zero problems driving it and would make it a point to go up the knife edge cliffs (instead of just driving around them) to further my disipline and improve my skills.

Mako FTWit was easy 2 drive on 360 it jut took skill and practice. Bring it back x 1000 and the inventory as thats one of the main fundamentals of a good rpg, e.g DAO
yaaa
Yeah, one of the halmarks of a RPG is being able to jam 150 items like assault rifles, colossus armors and an entire store worth of weapon upgrades in a backpack. I agree.
Have to agree with Cryptic (and all others with the same sentiment), the inventory system in ME1 was not a good thing. I found it really immersion breaking, carrying around 150 items composed of complete sets of armour, weapons, and mods for them too. It wasn't Baldur's Gate/Neverwinter Nights where you could get magical bags that defied the laws of physics.
The weapon and armour modding system was a good idea though, it just got out of hand. Infinite firing high damage weapons being a prime example.
I much preferred having my inventory stored aboard the Normandy in ME2, but certainly missed the weapon and armour modding system to an extent.
I did like the "custom" armour pieces, but missed outfitting squadmates beyond weapons used.
As for the Mako, I honestly loved it.
The only problem with it, was some planets where the only way to get to certain places of interest was ridiculous terrain (Eletania springs to mind). I did like the exploration overall, especially with different environmental conditions that could kill you.
I liked having 150+ items in my back pack because I want something when I want it and I don't want to have to go back to my ship to get it! Especially when its my guns or armor. Also if I'm raiding a base and looting it for all its worth and planning to sell it at market I can't do that when my inventory is 40 and I just killed 90 pirates and stole from all their lockers and my inventory is like ME2 or ME3 and I can only have 40 items. I have no problem with huge inventories they don't break my lore it's just spandex space unless you're going to solve my delima by giving me a lore breaking locker or chest that houses everything from my ship's inventory convenitly at every base (be that allies or axis), hub, or prison then I prefer to have a huge inventory infact make it bigger!
The only problem I had with the ME inventory was it didn't consolidatae the same item instead of say rifle x 5 I saw each rifle listed out also photos would've helped too with stats they could've done your selling inventory on the left then a pop up image of the gun its stats and any mods you did to it so you know if thats the one you want to sell or not.

I agree, and in all honesty I had NO problem with it on the 360. Granted it was my friends but when I got it on PC it was still easy.... I guess it just goes to show how many "bad" drivers there are out htere.

I miss the coolness of dropping in from the air in the Mako. The actual exploration less so.

And the spontaenous death by a tresher maw, even less so.

Im a 360 gamer and had no problems with the Mako at all.
I was surprised to ear that was needed "skill" to drive that thing on 360, I dont even have a driving licence. To be honest my broken controled did most of the driving by it self, running out of cliff, wedge me like it was it day job and flipping over without the help of trewser maw.
It is was nice, but I sleep with a rocket launcher under the pillow if that thing get near my Normandy. I rather be up and down the elevator all day...
But if done nicelly and get improved for ME4, I use it no problem. Put some new rims, tinted window and I will drive to the Afterlife on that thing.

So i won't say yes or no.
But getting rid of both these problems in sequel was really a nice move.

Otherwise , pick any game and replace all backgrounds with a sky full of stars and call it space sim , then remove any or all exploration and specific genre actions such as mining and if it's possible resume the entire game to a pointless brainless shooter. Oh wait! we have that all ready , it's called call of duty .
I believe they even have a moon map now which is surprisingly zombie related or something close .. epic fail

Well, personally i prefer Hammerhead, since it flies, which makes it by default cooler, but i do support Mako too.

Wish there had been more types of terrain to drive around on...hopping between islands in a tropical archipelago, driving on snow-choked back roads through a thick forest, jumping over vertical chasms crisscrossing a sandstormy desert, etc.

Have really missed the Mako. Hammerhead was entertaining, but the homing rockets kind of eliminated any challenge, and the linear levels weren't too interesting.

Yep Mako could take a few hits, while the Hammerhead could barly take 1-2 seconds of rifle fire without being caught on fire. Also the stratagy with the Hammerhead was pretty much "Hide around nearest corner and spam missles. Rarely where there where no corners to hide aroudn where you had to fight it out.
But yes, I agree that there is a reason to use the Hammer head but its speacialized. Where the Mako seemed more "well rouded" Also there was no lore reason why it couldn't be just as flyable as the Hammerhead. Considering it uses an Eezo core to be able to lift off of planets at the end of a mission.

True, only Mako, and Skyrim's horses, accomplish that
