Quite simple, actually: have the DLC affect the ending in some way.

I hated the Ending ... Still hate the Ending even with the EC (Although it was an improvement)

The only reason I'm going to buy the next 1 or 2 DLC is because I've got like 1600 BioWare Points spare from when I bought all the ME2 DLC and I thought, "Omg no way can they screw up Mass Effect 3 so I'm going to buy extra Points for all the ME3 DLC!!!!" ... Sigh how retarded I was.

Not only that but I contacted BioWare and EA and it's not possible to get a Refund :( So hello crappy ME3 DLC that I'll probably hate because it'll be Pre-Ending and I know that in the End nothing I do matters.

Im in the same boat as you. I will buy the dlc cause i got spare bio points. Bought extra points after me2 T_T

Don't bother, they already made up there mind. Focus on people who like the game, or think that a DLC will help with their complaints about the main game.

They don't. Unless they are making another ending that fixes the problems with the one we have now, then they shouldn't bother because most of us don't care. Unless it's a particular element that we would be passionate about, (a love interest related one for instance), then no amount of "The most awesomest thing you've ever seen ever in your whole entire lives ever!!!!!!!!!!!111111oneoneone" will get us to buy it, and they know that.

I feel we will have a ME1 scenario......expecting alot of DLC and only getting a couple of random ones that are standalone journeys rather than meaty quests that will affect the ending in anyway. I truly feel when they said to keep hold of your ME3 copies forever they meant for MP not SP.

If people don’t like the game then they will not buy the dlc. I did not like the DA2 ending and bioware did not change the ending so did not buy any of the dlc’s.

I like ME3 so will be buying the dlc’s as soon as they are made.

If it were me, I'd rather sit on it. Better to have them see these wasted points that I refuse to use, even though I already have them, than to even imply that I liked the game enough to want to add more to it.

I'm sitting on quite some points since ignoring DA2 DLC. It's comfy! Posted Image

I'll be damned if I know. I might have known once, when reading about the DLC, but I really don't remember. Posted Image

sadly...no NG+, no purchase for me

not that I blame the devs for it but it is not worth it for me without. If DA 3 has it I might play DA2 for completionism sake but otherwise.....

Or just spend the points on something else. There is plenty of other DLCs for other games, Arcade Games, and On Demand Titles to buy with those points. ;)

Probably the same way they marketed ME3 mislead, omit and outright lie.

And when that doesn't work or people call you on it...Lie some more. After all marketing strategies like that never have unfortunate consequences.

the bio points ive been sitting on since me2. I didnt bother with da2 dlcs as the game was not too good. Now here we have ME3, another game botched up. So i rather spend my points on this and be done with them finally. Not wasting them in multiplayer crap.
Since i do not expect quality products in future from bioware i might as well finish the points now.

You don't.

The people who liked the original endings and/or defend the EC endings will buy everything BioWare puts out without questions asked, while the people who dislike the endings will not buy anything without indisputable proof that said anything alters the endings.

That said, BioWare might as well stick to deceit. Trick as many people as possible into believing the new DLC will alter the ending, take their money and then ignore them once they start complaining about it. We've been fed nothing but lies since long before the game was even released, and financially speaking it's worked out pretty well for them so far.

Lol. I hate the Endings and dislike the EC but I will buy any DLC that's marketed like that.

"Does it alter the ending?"

"**** no but Guess what? Mac didn't write it."

I'm a destroyer myself, but if Bioware changed up refusal to actually take into account a very high EMS and/or high paragon/renegade score, I'd definately pay for that

I said "... Shepard's character murdered." not Shepard murdered. There is a difference.

But that is not the point is it? You seem to find it acceptable and that is your right, but can't you see how the events that transpire ftom the point of view of those of us who question the validity of tge choice Shepard has to make AT THAT POINT OF TIME and see with our eyes how illogical it is for Shepard to even accept and willingly choose to commit an act of suicide, and yes, even the Destroy option was at the time an act of suicide (still waiting for a logical explanation how EMS would prevent his/ber death) on tbe behest of an insane AI.

More to the point, the Shepard I played with and got to know would NEVER have capitulated and accepted to such a "deal".

Isn't it oddly enough that the ONLY time we see the old Shepard back, the one with fire in her eyes, with faith in humanity and faith in a United Galaxy was only seen during the Refusal Option? The option that essentially came with the message "You don't want our artistic vision? So be it. Screw you!"

This is the point exactly.  I would not presume to think my opinion or the ending I want is the only valid one.  What we are saying is that a vast number of us have no ending that validates the Shepard we played.  And since the devs said there was no canon supposedly, well then that's another lie.  There is canon.  If you played a paragon Shepard, you played the wrong kind of Shepard.  If you thought you were playing a logical Shepard, well that was wrong too.  If your Shepard thought things were often difficult but not impossible well there is no ending for that.  If your Shepard made a promise to always come back to a love interest, then your Shepard lies, because if your Shepard makes a choice then your Shepard is breaking a promise.  But I guess that makes sense.  The created is like the creator because after all this is Bioware's game and just because I thought I was being allowed to play a Shepard that always thought winning and living was possible, I was wrong.  But thanks Bioware for smacking me in the face and assuming control on the Shepard I thought I was playing.
