I always find it amusing how Shadow Broker can't help Miranda with tracking down her sister straight from Normandy. Like there was better information broker than SB.

Just a way for Bioware to screw another ME2 character out of being a full fledged squadmember.

I feel like the squad could use a biotic other than Liara (or Kaidan if you have him).
I would argue that Javik is DLC and not in every playrthough because of it but, then again, so is this 'Biotic Character'.

No.
I honestly wondered why Liara didn't take Life Support. During my first playthrough, I was totally expecting Liara to have Life Support and Miranda to keep her old room. Does Liara really need that much space for her servers? She's the only Squaddie that has a legitmate bed room. Miranda was understandable as she was Shepard XO, but Liara isn't the XO of the Normandy.

I honestly wondered the same thing.
Shepard: "Miranda, You're my girlfriend and I'm not letting you do this on your own. I have the freaking Shadow Broker on my Ship. I have a 6 man Persional Army. Grab your stuff and meet me at the ship. That's an order, XO."

She doesn't really need to have a set room on the ship, she mentioned she was always roaming it to spy on people anyway, have a few spots where you can click and she decloaks to chat. It'd be very in character for her.
Miranda:
Her reasons for not joining your mission were ridiculous at best. "I'm on the run from Cerberus, but won't go to one place that would be safe from Cerberus, where I know the Shadow Broker can help me find my sister and where the Galaxy's One Man Army can be ready to rescue her." Get her on the ship and have her work in the War-Room.
The Batarian:
Honestly the consequences of the Arrival never really had much resolution and aside from Balak and that Dying Batarian, no-one bothers to even mention it at all. Having a Batarian squadmember is a really great idea. Maybe they lost family in the explosion. Maybe they were on Torfan (Ruthless), part of the raid on Mindoir (Colonist) or Elysium (War Hero), so they were in some way connected to Shepard's life before? The possibilities are endless. Given how much we love Javik, it's not too much to ask for another Jerk with a Heart of Gold on this ship? He would likely go in Thane's old room.
Geth Prime:
Depending on how Rannoch was resolved, it'd be fun to maybe have an inactive Geth Prime in the hangar-bay, since the Geth inhabiting it uploaded to a smaller platform in order to facilitate communication with the crew whilst aboard ship. I like the idea of a towering inactive Geth Prime constantly freaking Vega out, particularly when it begins to move again. The Geth would probably take Legion's old room.

Please don't get me wrong. I have nothing against Miranda and i liked her in ME2, but maybe her golden moments passed away after the Suicide Mission and never will come back. Of course this is very easy to say for me because i'm not a fan of her, but i wish you/us luck with some sort of ME2 squadmates DLC in the future.
And about the space needed for Liara... i would give her the Destiny Ascension if i could.

Only DLC squadmate I'd tolerate paying money for is Garrus' sister, Solana. Mostly because I wanna see turian wimminz. The comics don't count.
Of course they don't. They screwed up the SINGLE thing we know about Female Turians.

And it really shouldn't have....Mordin and Legion have the closest things to Crowing Moments of Awesome in ME3 while everyone else from ME2 just sits off stage, plays a few rounds of cars, maybe split a beer or something?

She made more sense than Tali, Garrus, Javik, or Vega. EDI of course doesn't sleep.
The VS is the only person that one could argue was more deserving of the room (since they would have been the XO), but even then they don't have the same equipment requirements.

Since when was the VS the XO of the Normandy? I mean, they can die....Wait, who is the XO then?

Whoever the next senior Alliance officer is.

Well let's list them. I'd like Thane back in Life Support.
I'd like Jack back in her Hidey Hole.
I'd like to have Miranda back in that wasted XO's office.
I'd like to have Zaeed back in the wasted portside cargo hold.
I'd like to have Kasumi back in her game room.
I'd like to have Samara back in the starboard room, I'm sure Ash can make room or go home. Her call.
I'd like to have Jacob hangin' in the war room.
I'd like to have Grunt doing push up contests with James Vega on the bottom decks.
I guess Legion and Mordin DID have decent excuses for not going along though.. they can do their own things.
