Thanks to Vertigo_1 and the twitter thread for this insight.

"The subject of auto-dialog in #ME3 has come up in the forums a lot lately ... (CONT)"
"… as I recall you had some insightful responses to the criticism via Twiter. Do you see it continuing in #ME3 SP DLC?"

"I believe it'll continue. Lets scenes have more natural dialog flow. But also learning from places it felt too long w/o choice"

"Sorry to hear people dislike auto-dialog. I like flow of ME3 scenes -- in ME1, hard to write Shepard decisively w/every line a choice. 1/3"

twitter.com/PatrickWeekes/status/229370764506308609
"That said, per my response, we want it to feel natural, lines a logical extension of what you chose. Every project a growing process. 2/3"

twitter.com/PatrickWeekes/status/229370817887227904
"Goal is players rarely/never have meaningless choice, rarely/never wish they had a choice and had words put in their mouths instead. 3/3"
-----------------------------------------------
twitter.com/PatrickWeekes/status/229371744497070080
"I haven't played enough of my Renegade game. Did autodialogue reflect your Para/Ren scores in terms of attitude?"

"Depends on the scenes, but more often, it reflects the Para/Rene choice you make early in the scene."
---------------------------------------
twitter.com/PatrickWeekes/status/229372736848416768
"What about lack of middle option? What were people whos shepard always chose the grey area supposed to do?"

Replay ME2. Note how many dialog choices have only Para/Middle or Rene/Middle. 3 flavor options actually pretty rare."

----------------------------------------
twitter.com/PatrickWeekes/status/229372987579703296
'just my two cents, but in life we make many meaningless choices all the time. Why not allow that into the game?"

"Well, they cost more, for starters. We'd be cutting meaningful choices from elsewhere, or losing scenes altogether"
-----------------------------------------
twitter.com/PatrickWeekes/status/229373992459460608
"Interesting on 'meaningless' choice -- how do you define meaningless? Whether I speak kindly or cruelly to NPC X may not..."

"Choice that is just player tone and which doesn't change the plot or NPC response beyond one line"
along with:

twitter.com/PatrickWeekes/status/229374078790799360
"Nice to have, absolutely, but not at cost of bigger choices. And with game that big, always a cost"

So...let the blood rage flow? I can never tell what the boards reaction will be.

You can highlight the "but also learning" part too if you want to balance it out a little.

So, basically more Bioware canon.

A single line is not enough to start shouting cannon.

Not 1 line of shepard dailouge seems to suggest such, but whatever, you'll just belive whatever you want.

Rehinge your crazy-gate, calm down, and quit strawmanning.

As long as the important dialogs get it I'm fine. These things didn't affect me as much as it did others, but if they put in more dialog options I don't see how it could be worse off for it.

Wow me Bioware, I want to see what you can do.

I never expected Bioware to change it back.
Also, no words on neutral options.

Auto-Dialogue = More natural dialogue flow?

Why? Was everyone in ME1 and 2 a retard who spend 10 seconds in silence staring at the screen before they finally picked a response each time?

If it changed the endings it could have as much auto-dialogue as it likes.

Ah yes Bioware is "learning" much like Bioware is "listening". Don't make me puke.

So they're taking in feedback how exactly? Disregarding the endings, this has been one of the new "features" most people complained about.

Apparently.

If anything, having pauses in between lines can be beneficial. It's all about context.

I know right, and if they did it was only because they thought the choices mattered, since that claim has been dismissed, top right everytime. I always used to queue up my responses so it flowed anyway.

They're taking it in over to their favorite paper shredder named Phyllis.

The players weren't, but the characters were at times.

As Yathzee said it in one of his reviews:"You can almost see the characters in Mass Effect going over their stage directions in their heads: "Hello Commander Shepard (wave hand), I heard you might show up today (nod head), how 'bout those freaky aliens, eh? (shake fist, grr grr, slight racist undercurrent)"

This.
If they're so worried about pacing, they could introduce timed conversations.

After autodialog, can we have autofighting. You know the moment you get to kill yet another husk? can i just watch him getting shoot, or skip the sequence alltogether by pressing space?
This constant aiming and fighting disturbs the flow of the game.

Yes, I managed to do this on my blind playthrough of all three games. And when I did hesitate, to think about my choice, it was approrpiate. For example:Virmire.

Something happen a week ago that my mind didn't pick up in the BSN collective?

Lol, let's implement killchains from Assassin's Creed. Because combat felt too contrived when Ezio had to individually take his time to killl each enemy. Hell, it still does with Ubisoft's brain-dead AI.

What choices were auto'd?

Dialouge was, but that was simple hello's and goodbye's as far as I know.

You weren't auto'd into picking one side over the other that I remembered.

Oh and look, you're more condescending than usual. Rage off Call of Duty or something?

I never disliked the auto dialogue. Most of it was very well-written and perfectly voice acted.

<3 Drunk Tali is just so darn cute! <3
