She doesn't even have top billing.

And you wonder why I'm so suspicious.

Check the credits. She's listed 3rd after Meer and Hale.

Jessica Chobot? Or Yvonne Strahovski?

Chobot.

Look.

It's ****ing absurd.

Chobot. I don't know if taboo meant Miranda though.

GG Bioware paying the random Chobot from IGN over the rest of the VA cast

I don't even think Miss Strahovski is even in the top ten.

As I said, it was never about money, they just didn't want Miranda there.

So why, after 2 games, are they suddenly worried about flow?

And even if you sit for a second to look at and analyze the dialogue choices, it isn't like (in-universe) Shepard is standing there picking his nose after X NPC finished speaking.

They're trying to improve stuff all the time?

How actor listings usually work in Hollywood, Taboo? This is very bizarre, no?

Yes.

I'm very frustrated.

The top billed, or top personnel are listed first.

Meer and Hale were paid the most, for obvious reasons.

I am absolutely apalled by this.

How much money did either Chobot or Strahovski get paid compared to the main character VAs (Sroka, Hillis, Sbarge, etc)?

All four of those people were paid more than Miss Strahovski was.

I read all of Weekes' tweets and he said a lot of things I figured out too.

Dialogue later in a scene changed depending on your choices earlier in it. I can attest to that. The earliest example of that I found was when Shep is talking to TIM on Mars. Depending on your dialogue choice, Shep auto-responds to TIM's warning at the end with "Duly noted" or "Go to hell." Cuts out the choice of making Shep totally biopolar in a single scene, but makes sense.

And yes, many ME2 dialogue options only had 2 choices. The very first dialogue choice in ME2 is actually a two option one. So that criticism levied at ME3 makes no sense when ME2 shared that "problem" and no one complained.

And finally, Weekes doesn't mention this but I remember playing Shep's first talk with Liara in her quarters on the Normandy in ME3 with three different Shepards. One was my canon import with LotSB done, one was a Renegade/tragic import without LotSB done, and just for fun, I used the default ME3 new player Shepard. Many of Shepard's autodialogue lines and Liara's responses and investigate answers were different. If they wrote more dialogue choices in that scene alone, let alone the game, they would have an exponentially more amount of work on their hands.

Well, Miranda doesn't have that many lines in ME3.

Which explains why they retroactively promoted Miranda to TIM's 2IC (In an organization that doesn't have a 2IC), made her the female poster character for ME2, and made her one of the more pivotal characters in ME2.

I was referring to her on the billing in ME3.

She much farther down there than she should be.

What a flip flop.

BioWare just needs to keep in mind that people play their games for the conversations. Their stories are, on the whole, derivative, the animation is mediocre, the graphics are just passable, and the combat tends to be either clunky or copied from other series and clunky. Their characters, atmosphere, and interaction are what (most) fans prize highest. If you remove that stake by way of automation, what is left is a very milquetoast experience with a so-so-to-terrible story and a somewhat-pretty-good-could-be-much-better combat mechanic. I suppose this is fine, though, if series are headed toward franchise zombification.

@bold- I daresay that nothing beats "Wait, you can mate with your own species?". NOTHING.

LOL. At least you can avoid that one. Shepard's idiot moment talking to Wrex about the FCW is required.

I know. I was pointing out how inconsistent Bioware seems to be with Miranda. They color her as this super-important and "higher-level" character, but it peters off into nothing.

Liara was clearly more relevant to the plot I guess.

So was Vega.

None of the ME2 characters are. Not even Legion and Mordin.

She gets more done in ME3 than Liara does.

And she's one of the reasons both my Shepard and Vents up there is fighting.

So yeah, she's pretty important.

Despite ME2 languishing on an EHD at the moment, I can say with a fair amount of confidence that ME2 had far more dialogue options than ME3, and was the best in the trilogy so far as actual line variation goes--even when there were only two options, they were almost always radically different. At any rate, the contention wasn't ME3 only having two options as it is it having only two options, with everything in between padded with auto-response. ME1/2 rarely had the latter.
