The launcher has an ad for "Warden's Keep", but when you click on it to follow it the web page turns black. I tried it in both IE and Firefox, IE showed the content for a split second then turned black, while Firefox went straight to black.

Hm .. after removing the Remember Me checkbox (which is broken) the black goes away.

I'm willing to bet that within the next 48 hours, the ad will update itself to a DLC that you don't have...

You can delete News.XML from documents/bioware/dragon age/news folder safely... 
if you start game fast enough, news won't have time to get the banner! (if you take too long it's back and file is restored)
