I mean this in general but my specific case and reason for asking is that I took arcane mastery AND spellmight with Wynne and her spellpower is pretty good for her level. So next picks I want to take something that really capitalizes on her spellpower.
So far she has haste... Does haste scale with spellpower = even faster attacking at high spellpower?
Does crowd control (CC) scale with spellpower? If I take petrify will that last longer because of the spellpower or is it only damage and stat increasing spells (I noticed rock armor and arcane defense are more powerful with spellpower)....
Are any spells unaffected (or less) by spellpower...

Don't scale at all
Staff Focus
Arcane Mastery
(Mass) Rejuvenate
Heroic Aura
Haste
Glyph of Warding/Neutralization
Spellbloom
Spellshield line
Animate Dead (AFAIK)
Miasma (to the contrary of general opinion, this does NOT scale)
Arcane Warrior line
Scales with spellpower but easily hit the cap
Weapons line
Rock armor
Note the checks of CCs depend on your spellpower. And CCs that don't work are useless, so higher spellpower is always needed for them since we have no idea what the resist values of monsters are. So even though their durations aren't affected, you still want higher spellpower for those who casts CC, since you don't want it to fail when you need it the most.
