Hey!

I write this after i had a to retry a battle a few times, which i recorded so i can review tactics. (I wish there was a replay feature) After which i really saw how many quirks there are and i need help i dont know if this is normal. So i recorded it all.

Anyone know the Guards that attack you in Denerim accusing you of stealing? This one is tough. Theres about 10 swordsman and 8 archers. The Archers nailing my whole Team with Arrows after a few seconds in the battle, and take half HPs off, and daze them. This is all about the Video.

The Problem mainly is teammates not doing an Action. You can click on it, and for many reasons its not done. A few times even the Animation is played, but its not done. In the Video i made it is the Spellcasting, drinking Potions, etc.
Another Problem is teammates do something that makes no sense. Like Leliana switching to Bow while being pounded on by a swordsman. I had switched to Melee for a reason.

It gets annoying to babysit this behaviour, click an action ,unpause to witness it works this time, pause again and switch to next teammate.  All the time.. until i oversee something. I wished i was certain a order was completed, especially with this difficulty. While there really should be 2 orders to give, because what i often do is unpause a splitsecond for one order, to be able to give a second.

Please someone have an advise.

I had trained Leliana with Arrow of Slaying with advise here. But i have never seen it work like people say. This is why i also included it in this Video.  Sorry the UI is in German, but should be explainable i hope. Arrow of Slaying is "Pfeil der Vernichtung"

This is just from this one fight, each fight failed btw.

Let's see... so you've got:

- Main character, Mage
Spells: Arcane Bolt, Force Field, Crushing Prison, Heal, Shock...
- Oghren, Warrior (melee)
- Zevran, Rogue (melee)
- Leliana, Rogue (archer)

I don't see Scattershot in Leliana's list of talents, which would be very useful here . I won't recommend Arrow of Slaying. Some good Archer talents are:

- Scattershot
- Critical Shot (against bosses!)
- Pinning & Crippling Shot
- Rapid Shot (always keep this active!)

During this battle my team included:
Morrigan (blood-mage damage dealer), Wynne (damage dealer and healer), Main Character (Rogue, Archer) and Alistair (main tank)

Morrigan used Fireball on the crowd and Wynne on the archers to the left. I then went up the stairs and hold my position there.

I used Scattershot and Mind Blast to stun them during the battle. Wynne was standing in the back healing everyone. Cone of Cold was extremely useful to freeze multiple enemies at once. I used Force Field on Alistair so he couldn't die (and they still kept attacking him).

I've also had some problems with Leliana switching to her melee weapons. So I went to the tactics menu and I changed her role to 'Archer' and 'Ranged' and that solved it .

I recommend you change the roles of your team to this:
Oghren -> Scrapper, Aggressive
Leliana -> Archer, Ranged
Zevran -> Scrapper, Aggressive
Main character -> Damager or Healer, Ranged

Hehe yes thnks, i didnt just look for help on tactics, but help with the gameplay glitches. If there is a way to fix, or avoid them. Or even from Bioware. Or do i do something wrong?



I noticed that sometimes orders are done quick, sometimes slow. Thus i hardly know, did it stick/ did it not? Do people trust this ,or am i impatient? I dont know. Thus i uploaded the Video.



Yep its Oghren Leliana Zevran and me. Didnt have much CC at my disposal here cause this battle was quiet unique. But i had won it at one point nevertheless so its all good.

The glitch with the spell not working is weird though. Have you installed the latest patch?

Perhaps you've set some custom tactics for her which makes her switch to some other tactic when enemies are getting near?

Yes i got it patched right away.



I use only a tactic to drink a Potion and a Healing Spell automatically when near death for everyone. I think Oghren also uses to activate Berserk automatically, because it deactivates when you open the inventory on someone else. (Bug), i added that in one savegame at least.



Otherwise i have deactivated the automatics that was in there before.
