Poll is here. As it says, have you ever spent real money for Bioware points to buy packs, and if so how much. The poll gives a few choices representing ranges of money spent, feel free to comment/answer here, but please also be sure to answer in the poll.

I did the first day I played multiplayer. I bought a couple PSP, I got a Kishock Harpoon Gun and a Disciple. I stopped paying real money after that.

Now if they just let me straight up buy levels on my Harrier; well I might just break out the credit card for that. Image IPB

At launch I spent 15, I spent 5 for the Earth DLC trying in vain to get anything from the DLC after spending 700,000 and getting 100% garbage.

Got nothin'.

The desire to blow $20 on it is there. But ive resisted thus far. The Gold credit payload is pretty fair

I am playing the DLC for free, I haven't payed for any. But I did buy the Prothean DLC.

I really don't think we would have seen 3 packs if people were not paying enough for it to be viable for the business.

I've got particular morals about money on games, maybe I'm weird like that, I don't know. I certainly won't spend my RL money on something purely RNG based.

In total I've brought about 30 PSP or SP with MS points. Usually buy around 8-10 after each expansion.  Never buy any after I max out the weapons or get all the new classes, the risk spending real money and getting a level 4 consumable is not something that pleases me.

I bought 4 Premium Spectre Packs with real money and enjoyed seeing what I got as the packs opened. I then went to my profile to select my new character and it wasn't there.
I looked for my new weapon. It wasn't there.
I looked for my upgraded weapons. They were all still the previous level.
I rebooted the game and still found no sign of my purchases.

So I emailed EA and they ... didn't care.
After something like 2 months of to and fro emails in which they ignored me, tried to fob me off by telling me to talk to MicroSoft about it, ignored me some more, tried to diagnoses a problem different from the one I had, ignored me, told me there was nothing they could do, ignored me, told me there was nothing they could do and if I emailed them again about the situation they would consider it an "abuse" of the complaints procedure and no further correspondence about this particular issue would be entered into.
I don't have my purchases, I don't have my money. EA don't care.
I therefore consider EA to have stolen my money.

Moral of the story: Don't spend real money on this game.

Pretty sure everyone on these forums has already spent real money on this game
I keep running into a bug where the game resets all of my multiplayer progress following a disconnect from EA servers, then I reload and it corrects itself

I spend like 10 EUR on JumbosPacks every few weeks just to support the idea of getting DLCs for free.
When ppl stop paying money we wont get any DLCs any more.

You'd be stupid to spend actual money on packs. Besides, you may not even get anything good.

Like carnival games, chance is part of the fun.
( though  i've never spent real money on packs)

Whenever I actually take chances (in real life mind you) things actually turn out good. But in the ME3 store system, busting out 400,000 creds just before the DLC release in hopes of getting something? That chance has always killed me.

Had a little over a 1000 bioware points, spent them on packs. Haven't bought Bioware points for packs though, just used the ones left over. I didn't even download the EC free DLC I'm so over the SP campaign, so didn't see much need for Bioware points. Maybe the next Dragon Age will be good, we'll see.

No. I'd buy a MP expansion that has Payday: The Heist style co-op/story maps, or really anything other than horde mode, but I'm functional enough on Gold with what I have already, not really feeling the itch to spend money on packs.
