I've never spent real money on the store, although I did burn some leftover Bioware points I had from getting ME2 DLC. Pretty sure that doesn't count though since it had been floating around for ages before ME3 was released.
[POLL] Have you spent real money on packs, and if so about how much?

I did the exact same thing. I had enough for one Spectre pack and one Veteran pack. I used that to get me started (didn't really get anything that great out of them, if I recall correctly) then everything else I have I got through my own hard work and determination.

No, I only spend in-game credits. I spend enough money on video games themselves to buy that kind of optional content, especially when the content can be earned.

I've had 1600 microsoft points($20) for like 3 years, and I decided to spend it all on packs since I'm leaving the country for 2 years and will not have my xbox. I didn't wanna have that money sitting around for another 2 years.

Microtransactions are what pays for the DLC.

You'd be stupid to spend actual money on packs. Besides, you may not even get anything good.
Spending money on most anything can be considered stupid, however it doesn't mean anything as long as the person shelling out the cash thinks it's worthwhile. Some people might think spending 400+ bucks on a video card is stupid, but plenty of people do it. That said, I spent maybe 40 bucks or so in packs over my time playing and it was mostly during runs with terrible teams, and I just wanted some quick unlocks.

I have fun with the RNG system and I don't play enough to earn lots of credits. I've spent $20 per DLC plus another $50.

About 10-20 USD at every DLC release to support future releases. I mostly just get IV ammos (since I usually get all the stuff from saved up credits), but it's important to support something you enjoy so I spend the money anyway. Besides, the IV consumables are ravaging XD

$20 when I was starting out and $20 when Earth launched.
Also, hi. Just played a couple of Platinums with you and I thought I recognized your name. The first one wasn't bad. The second... Well, I tried. That second device on wave three was a ****. Better than a lot of public Plats go, though.

$4 right when the game came out. Haven't since. What I really dont understand is how people have spent over $20 on spectre and premium spectre packs. That's insane.

Yea some of the hack placements can be really brutal, those are what kill me when I fail Plat. I actually 3 manned a full extraction in a random the other day, I was pretty surprised. You played well, but we should have probably set up a slightly more balanced team as opposed to all Demolishers and Destroyer's lol.

Each time a MP DLC came out, I test drove it for a few days, and once I was convinced it was awesome I spent $10 on packs. Not because I needed the packs, but because I wanted to help pay the people who created the DLC.
3 DLC expansions to MP x $10 each time = $30 well spent.
