Everyone with a brain that isn't a total tool wants a fair shot at unlocking gear, not garbage ammo drops, and no, we don't, the whole process is supposed to be a process of elimination, but BioWare cheats the system, before it was character cards, those are still there in common, gunking up the works, but then they elevated ammo to uncommon to gunk that up too, so instead of fixing it with "you don't get things you already have unlocked" they gunked up the system with garbage ammo.
Here's how this is supposed to work, minus the grinding nasty sludge BioWare designed into the system to **** us sideways, you max something out, it is removed from the pool and you don't get it anymore, leading to a slightly increased chance at more valuable things.
This is how it works in almost every other game, it's a fool proof system that they have ruined with garbage sludge gunking up the system, this is why these topics WON'T go away and haven't since launch, it's trash and the aforementioned change made it even more trash than before, it's a **** tier way of doing it and damaging to their reputation as well.

Yes, they could. Having maxed out characters and weapon should be greeted with better chance of getting URs. There is not universal law that says BW can't do just that.Nelzeben wrote...

I suppose I could take umbrage in unlocking the Cerberus Adept, but I'm trying for N7's here...I really should have unlocked more than this by now...
On the bright side, if I keep doing this, I'll have every weapon I never use maxed out to level 10 in a month...then continue to get level 4 ammo unlocks b/c for some reason a consumable has the gall to be considered a Gold drop...
BTW: As I'm getting tired of this nonsense... PM me if you are looking for a group to do Firebase Glacier...the Warp Bubble and Smash Combo.
If you don't know this tactic, you need:
Asari Justicar Adept: Warp Bubble
2 x Cerberus Adept/Vangaurd: Smash (can get by with a fast and strong Shockwave User)
4th slot is open, but I find these work best: Anyone with Decoy or Sabotage...
1) Hole up in that one room with one entrance
2) drop the bubble at the entrance
3) profit (20K in 5 min, 60 K in 10, 120K if you make Wave 10)
Somehow, I still don't think it'll matter...I never unlock anything I use...

This has nothing to do with what occupies the character card slot. This is about frequency of redundance compared to the other useful options available. Not everything has to be a UR, but a little more balance amongst Amp and Ammo distribution couldn't hurt.
But I'll keep *** and ****** and ***** and ** and * * * and ***** and ... _ _ _ ... and #*(#H$H#UNio. (This is all code for laughing.)

Damn right man. 99k for 2 lvl 4 pieces of crap and 2 lvl 3 pieces of crap. why cant it have more to offer and gears appearing more often. but to be honest what alternatives are there. character cards again... nah N7 lvl hoarding would recommence.

The majority feel that level 4 ammo is better than character cards. If you liked the character cards more, then my condolences on the change, but realize you are in the minority.
The majority feel that the new Earth DLC gears drop rate is broken, the other gears were much easier to obtain despite them all being gears and either uncommon or rare.
Right now I don't think those points can be refuted. We may not all like it, but thats where we are.

"Nerfers" got it changed? That's not even a nerf. <_<
Anyway, on the topic at hand. Consumables IV are useful, while extra character cards are not. Ergo, stop ****ing. This is a much better system than previous.
