I wanted to add deft hands to my mage and used the addtalent 4020
command to make my mage a rogue. On the Character screen, I can see the
added Rogue icon, but the talents do not show up on the Spells/ Talents
screen.  Does anyone have a similar problem?  What am I doing wrong?

Is this one of the built-in console commands? I guessing that the built-in addtalent command doesn't update the GUI to show the rogue talent tree. You have the talent; you just can't access it. If you don't want to write a script yourself in the toolset, you'll probably have to find a mod that allows you to multi-class.

Yeah, I was going to mention, I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the GUI not reflecting your changes. I don't know what that entails but I would imagine you'd have to create an M2DA at the very least.
