easy stocking up on guns and any ships I could get my hands on while building contacts and recruiting men for the inevitable reaper invasion. Knowing how they get here when and all their key victory locations would make it easy to reinforce weak spots and at least make a noticeable difference in the universe.

Work the eezo rigs along the frontier, then in a vain attempt at adventure I'd join up with some random faction (Alliance, merc, cerberus), wichever ran the flashiest ad at the time. Quite possibly try to escape at the first sight of trouble.

Before the Reaper War, I would enlist in Alliance and try to achieve N7 commendation, then try to become another human Spectre, I would design my own ship, and have mixed crew, like Shepard, but I would invest heavily into 2 eezo cores, and maybe 4 Thanix cannons, stronger armor plating and shields.

Or the second option could be screw the Spectre status, after achieving N7, join up with Shepard in ME2 or even better join him in ME1.

with real life skills... I'm a lawyer so i'd probably help Shepard out after ME2 meaning he doesn't have to wait 6 months before doing anything. then i'd volunteer to help anderson and most likely die as i live in england

Any skills i'd be an adept (maybe an L2), i'd start as a bounty hunter at first till i have some credits then when i have enough i's get a small frigate class ship and crew. then I'd become like the A-team just going around solving peoples problems. or maybe i'd join Cerberus before ME3 back when it was still great

With absolute seriousness, I would find a secluded planet, build a superintelligent AI, discover a way to become immortal and then stay by myself on that planet, and then when that cycle ended I would see the Reapers and what they do and give that knowledge to the next cycle, they would then worship me as their saviour and would do as I see fit, but soon they would realise their mistake and try and revolt against my rule, but by then my robot army would have become to great for the mere mortals and I would crush them like the bugs they are, with true evilness, and I would rule the entire Galaxy and from that starting point I would take over the entire Universe! Muhahahaha HA HA HAAAAAA.
