Not to be mixed up with the scariest game youve ever played (however if the scariest game youve ever played is the most disturbing then feel free to put it down) but what is the most disturbing game or most disturbing scene within a game you have ever played?

resident evil 2- not because of the zombies or things popping out at you, but because of those damn ink ribbons. The scariest and most messed up thing a game can do to you is not allow you to save.

The "overfed" scene from Phantasmagoria. And her possible death scene at the end of the game.
There's also a scene at the end of Clive Barker's Jericho where your teammates are literally ripped apart in front of you. I felt like vomiting the first time I saw it myself.
The Hallucination scene in Mother 3. That was highly disturbing to me.

Well, it's not the most messed up thing I've ever seen in a game, but I certainly felt disturbed after the Broodmother fight in Dragon Age: Origins. Especially after learning what a Broodmother actually is.

The Tarantian gnome conspiracy in Arcanum. Seriously sick s***. The worst part is there is no way to bring those responsible to justice. There have been times I instigated a riot in Tarant solely to hurt the gnomish power structure. I despise any gnome in Arcanum with a half-ogre bodyguard. DESPISE.

Slender. Oh god slender. D: I was playing it with a friend the other day with the lights out for atmosphere, I got to the corner of the fence turned right just a little bit and he just stepped out from behind a tree. My pulse was pounding. I tried to get away. I couldn't. At that point my friend was screaming in terror, and I was just like "oh****oh****oh****I'mneverplayingthisgameagain". Then I went to turn on the lights. But then they started flickering, and we were already freaked the hell out, so we pretty much started losing it. o_o

Spec Ops: The Line.

Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Day's, first scene is Kane and Lynch getting tortured while naked and Lynch's wife is being raped in front of him.

Manhunt 2 for the ds. I was on the level in some sex club, underground was some torture lair, pretty random but the game overall was really seedy and felt dirty playing it. I don't see the appeal of trying to kill enemies in the most violent way possible, you start questioning yourself if you really enjoy games like that.

The torture cells in Amnesia, with the audio flashbacks, as well as the reveal of why you were amnesiac.

The Broodmother from Awakening.

Some necromorphs from Dead Space, and the "suicide room" in 1 and the bird room in 2.

Suicide room? The woman cutting that body up and decided to cut herself infront of Isaac?

And how was the bird room scary? Nothing happened i don't think. Is that where you got to use the corpse for the scanner?

Of course the silent hill games were disturbing because they used location-types that are familiar in real life.
I've never looked at a merry-go-round the same way since...

and then there is Nomad Soul .. in which you have sex with a woman while inhabiting her husband's body (very dubious morally) then discover that it isn't a game at all but a trap created by demons to steal the souls of unsuspecting gamers...

and then there is the bit in Shenmue in which you follow people around, stalking them, following their daily routines, seeing where they live for no apparent reason...
..or am I the only one who did that?

Doom 3, what with the talking wall penis, the dude crucified to the roof, that woman who's head blew up and turned into a flaming skull that flew out my window. I was like "wut is this ****"

Not even Eternal darkness was that strange, and it had this

I was more disturbed by the encounter with Hespith - hearing the horrors her and the rest of her House had to endure and learning just how depraved the Darkspawn truly are left an impression on me, to say the least.

Beyond that, the first three Silent Hill games and Fatal Frame 2 were extremely unsettling - particular Fatal Frame, which I didn't even have the nerve to finish playing because it spooked me out so bad.

The only game I had to walk away from was Lost Odyssey. Not because of the rather intense '1000 years of dreams' stories, but because.... well...

One of the characters was me. She shared my name, my face, my mannerisms. Okay, so she's immortal and has kids and grandkids... but...

...seriously, several moments freaked me the hell out.
