I'm shaken and more than a little freaked out right now.

Gonna look into an even bigger scare once I'm done with Condemned, though.

For me it would definitely be Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth - brilliant game.
Hell yes.

Ah yes, the "bleeding" room - I remember it well. I also remember that room with the mannequins where you hear a loud scream when you try toh leave the room, then when you go back to look a mannequin's head has been chopped off and it's covered in blood. Always a lovely sigt.
This thread has actually gotten me in the mood for a good horror game - I'm looking into a few titles in particular. I happen to have a, err, "Gamecube" that I acquired recently off of the Internet, and I could, err, "find" a copy of Eternal Darkness for me to play on it.
Looking at Condemned: Criminal Origins as well - I've heard good things about it and I like the idea of facing people instead of monsters like in so many other horror games.
I've never liked mannequin's. That room was scary as hell.
Have you tried Amnesia: The Dark Decent? It's really scary, and so is the Justine DLC.
Condemned is a scary game. If you're interested, check it out.

You can't follow Tom...Druss99 wrote...

and then there is the bit in Shenmue in which you follow people around, stalking them, following their daily routines, seeing where they live for no apparent reason...
..or am I the only one who did that?
Damn that's freaky, I don't even want to imagine what following Fuku-san or Tom could do to someone's mind.
either he's following you
or he's identical twins or clones or something
(Every other character follows their daily routine but Tom seems to be in 2 places at once...it's a bit creepy)

I've been playing Condemned lately - I wouldn't say it's "scary", but it is very intense and disturbing (the "lunch lady" in particular gave me the creeps). It's also got a major mindf*** of a storyline, and I'm still not finished yet. Very good game.
And no, I have not played Amnesia - I've heard it's pretty frightening, though. I might not have it in me to play it - horror games without guns and blunt objects at my disposal tend to get to me a little too much. *glares at Fatal Frame*
