And Subject696 I just don't know how else to explain it - it might be a language barrier or something... kinky is a word that means something a little off the beaten track sexually, whereas perverted means things so off the main highway that people just don't tend to go there.
Also, it was a joke for a laugh.... which failed apparantly. =(

Uh, Morrigan wouldn't give up that power. And the PC may not be able to carry a child.
Morrigan is practical, It seems to me she would have come up with a more palatable deal for the female characters. Yes, the PC would have to agree to give up the child, probably by sneaking away after the battle and letting everyone assume she had died. Not a choice all of us would make, but think how many players would have jumped at the chance to spend a last night with Alistair and bear his child, even if they couldn't keep it?
Half the reason I told Morrigan to F off is that she wasn't really offering the deal to MY character at all anyway. Still not saying I would take the option, but at least it would have been an moral choice given to MY character instead of pawning the story off on the male NPC. And I see no reason that a male warden could father a child but a female warden couldn't bear one. Wasn't Alistair mother in the books supposed to have been a Grey Warden?

Alistair is cute and has an appealing voice. His voice is calming to listen to.
Shale is funny and I hate Stern. I left him in his cage to rot.
Actually it was quite an effort to get to know him and be friendly, especially compared to the others. I think that made it more rewarding in the end and I really liked him.

Wait, you hate boats, what's wrong with the stern? It's kind of important. How did a stern fit in there with Sten anyway??.

I agree. My elf would have loved to have Alistair's child instead of Morrigan, but I guess the way it's written is that one gray warden can possibly have a child with a non gray warden, but with two gray wardens it is impossible, so I've heard. Plus I think it's all about the heart-wrenching sacrafice or letting Alistair sleep with Morrigan (which is another heart-wrenching sacrafice in itself - and they even make you watch - the horror!

All the writers had to do was say "blood magic ritual" and ta-da! Miracle fertility explained.

I know, that's not the point. The point is that the guys who developed this game apparantly have a wicked sense of humor since the girls get that horrid scene and the guys get basically a fantasy - they either get to sleep with a girl they've been with already or if they are romancing Lelliana then they get a chance to sleep with another woman free and clear with a nice convenient reason ready to give to Lelliana. So the girls kind of get screwed over on this (umm, well you know what I mean

Exactly! The boys get a last night love scene with their romantic interest, conceiving a child with her (even though they don't get to stay happy ever after with her, making it all bitter-sweet), while the female player get to ... watch poor Alistair get creepily pawed at by Morrigan. Just eww.

Yeah, and that line Morrigan says to Alistair right before the cutscene "You're not going to hate this as much as you think" makes watching it that much worse.

Guys get either "last night sex" or angry Morrigan screaming at them; they have no option to keep her in any way.
I say we get it better.

The only ways to keep him are one's I just wouldn't consider. I'd have to both accept Morrigan's creepy annoying guy-only deal, AND decide to put the power-mad elf-hating Anora on the throne to opress my people. No thank you very much.
And the idea of letting him DIE just so I can get a kiss? Um, evil?

Exactly, no way I'm letting him die (not even for a really sweet kiss - I would end up crying for a week ). So I choose the lesser of two evils and watch with agony as Morrigan has her way with him. By the way, there is a way to have him be king and still stay with him even if you aren't a human noble. It isn't the sweetest deal in the world since you will basically be his mistress with the understanding that he will one day marry another woman so that he can have an heir. He has to be hardened first and you have to have high coercion / cunning. I liked it better than the other options though, because I just hate seeing Anora as queen. It just feels wrong. And seeing her give the speech at the end instead of Alistair just made me cringe.
Unfortunately I don't read spoilers before I play a game, so I didn't know about the "harding" line until after I was done. And honestly, it's ONE kind of mean out-of -character (for me) line, and I doubt many people picked that didn't know to pick it in advance. So no happy ending for me. If you consider life as a mistress a happy ending.

Lol, again because I don't read spoilers before I play, I thought I could get the killing blow in to the archdemon myself, and when surprised with Alistair's cut-scene, I chose the "I won't let you do this!" dialog option, so he just says "Like I'm giving you a choice." and runs off. So no kiss AND he still dies. Damn NPC wielding the all powerful cut scene over me!
And I have done some truly evil things for the sake of achievements, too. Or just to see what happens. My favorite was dissing Alistair right after the love scene. Tell him he means nothing to you and boom, Alistair disapproves -82! Thankfully he seems to have no memory of my cruelty when I reload... Unless THAT's secretly why he dumps me.

No, I really don't consider life as a mistress a happy ending actually. But it is the only way a non-human noble can still be with him after he is king. The going off into the sunset as gray wardens together option seems romantic, but that darn Anora gets to stay queen. Arrgh, that just kills me. Honestly, I think that if he's king then he should get to decide who he marries and if that is an elf or dwarf than so be it, gosh darnit!

Geez, I'm starting to feel a little sympathy for the guy now. Never heard the hindquarters convo before, he's slightly less annoying and more amusing now.
Now his proponents are offing him to boost their epeens. Wait what's the term for the ladies?
