I liked the Mako. The one thing I truly hated was the bypass minigame.
I still to this day have never solved that puzzle. (If you're referring to the Peak 15 Mira puzzle)
And that's after like 15 play throughs.

I loved Mass Effect 1 thought the story was great plus in terms of bugs and stuff it was made a while ago. And personally I think the ending to Mass Effect 1 was one of the best endings of the franchise!

I think he was referring to the simon (for xbox)/ frogger (for pc) hacking mini games.

like: great characters: Wrex & Garrus and Ashley. I really enjoyed ME1 Ash before ME3. But having them in your part made good replay value.
The Great missions like Noveria and the Hot Labs. The Side Mission served a good purpose also like Wrex's family armor, this was important since you have the Virmire Confrontation.

I'm not trying to flame bait. I'm trying to say that any game could be made to look bad if it's nitpicked enough. Which is something I feel Mass Effect 3 is a victim of. Should of I stated that in the OP? Yes. But it would be too little too late at this point.
