Basically, there's a way you can trick Dragon Age: Origins into uploading a custom picture instead of your character's portrait.  Then you just set your avatar to that uploaded "portrait."

I can't really imagine anything more inconsiderate to people with low and/or limited bandwidth than setting a 10MB animated gif as avatar.

OP was asking for a nerf. Chill out. I assume your coffee is not done brewing yet so it should coincide with you being able to finally read these responses. If my timing estimate is correct you'll be in a better mood from the coffee so...I accept your apology for bringing the mean into this thread

Whoever uses an animated gif of 10 MB size as an avatar or posts such an image directly in a forum(yes, OP, looking at you) should be banned for a week to think about their stupidity.

Yeah, how inconsiderate can you people be? I mean it's not like browsers keep a cache so stuff like this that it keeps seeing over and over can be loaded from local disk instead of re-downloaded every single time.
