Would anyone else like to see Smash get some of the range of Biotic/Electric Slash?

Would anyone else like to see Smash get some more range to have a bit more parity with Biotic/Electric Slash? Given that Smash has an 8 meter range and Biotic/Electric Slash have a 20 meter default range (spec'd up to 30), I don't think it would be unreasonable to see an option on, say, its Rank 6 evolution to increase it to something like 15 meters (in addition to or in place of the radius/target increase on Rank 6).

It'd certainly make my Ex-Cerberus Adept feel a bit more useful. =] (Not quite as necessary on the Vanguard, IMO.)

Imagine an ability like Smash (which does massive damage to armor and goes right through walls) with a base range of 20m on a map like Glacier... yeah, sorry but I don't think that would be a good idea.

Low-range, wall-bypassing firepower still is the one trait Defectors excel at.

I see no reason to change that; the cast-animation is near-enough instant, as such still deals more damage compared to the "Power BladeRUUU" skills which still have some travel-time. Only thing required is to try and keep hard cover between yourself and the mooks.

Sure, remove its devastating offensive power and the god awful screen rumble and you can get that.

Buffing its range from what it is in the current state? No, I would rather have the Phoenix classes rejoin Cerberus as a new enemy unit, just so we could kill them.

Nope. Already sick of seeing Shadows and Slayers spam it, dont want the other Cerberus class being cheap as well

Smash can prime for BE or TB, so it does still have its uses.
Ex-Cerb Vanguard is a beast, i use the hurricane on him and plow faces on Gold just fine.

Ex-Cerb Adept is not my cup of tea because i never did like singularity in ME3, but i have seen people rape on all difficulties and they were not camping behind a wall the whole match either. (except i havent played much platinum so i cannot say for that difficulty)

this skill and character's are still great IMHO.
smash is high risk high reward, plus lash gives a way to deal with ranged low to mid tier enemies.

also Smash can hit on different elevations ( enemies on platforms above or below), far as i can tell Biotic/Electic Slash can only go horizontal on the same elevation as the caster.

summery: no change needed IMO.

No, that would make Smash stupidly OP and would result in it getting nerfed harder than the Krysae and Falcon combined.

On the subject of smash/slash, I feel smash should stagger (which it doesn't unless the enemy is within a meter of you) and BS should prime for detonations.

Then again, when looking at the difference between 8m and 20m, maybe they should increase it to an even 10m.

I think Smash with that kind of range would be epic. Maybe a little TOO epic. Smash has a far faster cast time than BS, and doesn't' break cover. I think that trade off kinda balances things out.

Smash was horrible at first. Then it got a buff. It's one of the best buffs we've gotten other than gear. So, no. There's no reason to buff it much more.

Smash is fine. It hits extremely hard. If it was given as much range as the slash powers it would be way overpowered.

Nope because that's its only weakness. If we have like 15 meters range, that would be unbalancingly powerful.

If you gave Smash the Range of Biotic Slash it would just become Biotic Smash, Idential powers, different animations, they're different powers for a reason, smash is a short range boss killer, Slash is a long range weakener/killer, if you want a longer ranged Smash, just roll N7 Slayer.

I'm sure it wont be broken at all. It already primes/detonates be or tb. Apparently it is not enough.

Well, it might be interesting to be able to exchange damage for range (e.g., -40% damage, +40% range.)

As for the claim that Smash does more damage than Biotic Slash and that's why it makes sense for it to have less range, according to this...

A skill that does more damage than both Slashes, has evolutions that almost doubles its damage to barriers and armor, ignores elevation and allows you to set up BE/TB does not need any range boost whatsoever.

Fix Shockwave on PC.

Smash is fine.

Shockwave doesn't work 90% of the time in my experience.
