So... I've just reached Dantooine. I'm studying for becoming a Jedi and I am totally unable to have my companions speaking with me. I've read some hints here http://www.gamebansh...jedienclave.php
Mission is the only one I was able to start the quest. Bastila is with the Jedi masters, so I can't speak with her (not that, the times I've tried, also on Taris, I've received any dialogue options to speak about her life). Carth, Zalbaar and Canderous simply don't talk (I don't have any option except something like "Do you know anything about this planet?").
Even if I (and also them) have gained many level up in the meanwhile.
Any help, please? I really can't understand how to trigger those dialogues! :-(

Most of them take a little time to unlock. I think its after you finish Dantooine training that they start

It seems strange to me that:
1) gamebanshee says they could start already in Dantooine
2) Mission`s quest is already working, even if I've started to speak, of course, with Carth far before than with her
3) it's a long while that I don't receive any new message from companions, even if, in the first part of the game, I was constantly receiving new dialogue.
So, are you sure it's all ok? :-(

The companion side quests can start in Dantooine, but you need to get far enough along their personal dialogues. Since you generally get one new dialogue with a level-up, it can take a long time.
* Mission is the easiest as you already start her convos on Taris.
* You get Bastila back after you complete the Jedi trials and receive the real main mission. She will open up after that.
* Zaalbar doesn't really proceed until Kashyyyk.
* Canderous is not difficult, but it takes a long time.
* Carth is tricky because he will stop talking to you for a long while after you get to Dantooine. Many people think they have broken his dialogue somehow (especially if they intend to romance him) when he doesn't talk to them. It is supposed to be that way. He is pissed off at you for being left "out of the loop". He will confront you after you've done the Dantooine ruins and then clam up until after you've completely done the first planet after Dantooine (a loong while). He will then apologize to you and you can proceed.
* Juhani (if you don't kill her) is both tricky and glitchy.
Jolee and HK are special cases and you don't get them until later.

Oh, thank you very much! That explains everything! Now I'm feeling better. I've thought I've damaged the game maybe due to all the strange things I've had to do for making it run on Windows 7 :-D
