@Mike_Laidlaw It's killing me to not talk about DA stuffs, but I think it's for the best we have something real (no demohacks!) to show before we do.

I think to make us wait in a more happily mood , they should post pictures of the DA team cosplaying Bioware characters , like a pin up of the month thing ( even better if it's cross dressing ).
Like when you wait for christmas and you have a calendar with chocolate in it ...

Anyway I was kidding...maybe.

I agree with the approach, even though I'd like to hear about DA all the time. If I had to advise Mike, I'd say "Keep your mouth shut."

BioWare lately talks a better game than it plays. They need to change that.

"Yeeeaaaarrgggghhhh!!"

There. I'm good for another week not knowing anything about DA3.

I thought they did it pretty well at that one conference thing. They prefaced everything with...not written in stone/not promising anything/just some ideas.

Then they showed the armour potentials. A map. "something secret;something hidden;something cool".

Just don't over hype it.

I just hope they accidentally leak a concept art or something so we could speculate and theorize.

Call me dumb, but what's a demohack? I don't know the term.

Lol! Idk,either! I wasn't gonna say anything. Cuz, you know.

Whatever it is, it doesn't sound good.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about a fake mockup (to show how something that really only exists conceptually might work and look).

So even if it's not something that the game can currently do, you just fake it to make it look like it can (and if it later turns out that it won't ever work right, or it sucks and you have to take it out, well, oops).

They should have made Malvernis go in darkspawn armor.

Anyway, to tide me over until we get some actual DA news, I picked up my hard copy of The Silent Grove this weekend. For people who still want the feel of something solid in their possession.

I was on the fence (I decided not to get the DVD, and comics aren't typically my thing), but I only had to read through a single page to know that I was going to get it.

Nice cosplay pic. Let's see more of the Bioware staff to remind us that they are fans too and enjoy what they do.  The N7 armor is particularly impressive.  How about selling cosplay outfits on the Bioware site?  There could be one big Bioware renaissance festival, complete with mages and templars killing each other.

I don't mind the silent treatment. The last thing anyone wants are pictures of things, or reading about features that don't make it into the final game. I'm just glad that they are spending the time on DA3 that they should have done with DA2, and I can wait as long as needed, if it results in a better game in the end.

I'd kill for... anything really. It's depressing coming on here and seeing no new dev comments and all the threads just kinda... stagnating.

When I say anything I mean anything, really. Like which is the most common type of tree in wherever the game is going to situated? What is the color of the dirt? Do Orlesian nobles wear sensible shoes? Are the rumors surrounding a fire-sword juggling monkey companion named Seymore true? IS SUBJECTIVE REALITY REAL?! IS THE SKY BLUE?! TELL ME!!! XD

Fair enough - I guess that makes sense. (But do game companies do that? An example doesn't really come to mind ...)

Bioware, make us wait. And wait, and wait and wait and wait and wait until you have something tangible for us. Something that people can't just flip around through their own interpretation as you selling yourselves to the devil. Something that says "this is what's going to be in DA3, now sit here and drool over these screenshots/videos of it".

While i agree that is better to present more substantial things, some other types of news could be presented till then.

Like, what type of engine will the game be on (plz frostbite2!) or confirm that the game will be set in the south hemisphere of Thedas.

Small things every month can help maintain the conversation on the forums (and better - much better - questions of month!)

If you weren't a fan (or potential fan)....would you be a customer? Surely in order for you to purchase something you have to either like the things that have come before or have a reasonably expectation that you're going to enjoy what you're buying?

Frostbite 2? Really? I'd rather have it on Unreal Engine 4. It's Elemental demo is focused on magic so the spells would've looked awesome.

Anyways, right now, I'd kill for a glimpse of what's coming.

I first came to Bioware via Mass Effect 2 and then decided to try out Dragon Age: Origins. It's funny I had always preferred sci-fi stuff over fantasy/sword & sorcery (other than Conan the Barbarian novels & comics, which is in a class by itself). Honestly, as much as I enjoy the ME universe, the world of Thedas is my favorite gaming venue. At least for me, the wait for info and other tidbits is made even more difficult due to the cancellation of Exalted March. That business decision was just like feeling the twist of the knife!

In my case it was the other way around, i dont like sci-fi stuff because always there are over dramatic stories or some dark touch in them and always the ends are uffff sad, dramatic and weird and i came to Bioware for Dragon age and I fell in love with it...ok, but like everyone in this forums were writen or talking about ME i wanted give it a try and omg ! wonderful game indeed... but the ends are the typical sci-fi cliche... Now im waiting some news about my favorite game dragon age but....nothing , nada, only silent....i know, they have not something tangible to teling for us ... but at least tell us if there are some hope maybe to the next century that we will see and play a dragon 3....
