With how many reports about UE's DLC being locked out, I'm really starting to think it was/is an error with either Steam (who seem to be a majority of the reporters) or connecting all the parts to the BioWare authorization servers.

Agreed; it has to be something on Bioware/EA's end.

I bought the boxed version of Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition and had all the DLC authorized yesterday.  This afternoon I completed Leliana's Song, then went to continue my regular game...

and found out I could not load it because all the DLC was now unauthorized, even though the right EA account was still active.  Not impressed.  <_<

Has anyone else had this problem?  I fixed it, but this could become thorougly obnoxious if it continues.

My problem with boxed Ultimate Edition unauthorised DLC was because the DAO content updater service was not running.

Try to start Dragon Age Content Updater service prior to game launching. For this, open Windows main menu, select Run..., tyep "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. In the Services window, look for Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater service. Right-click on this service and select Start in the contextual menu. Once the service has started, close Services window and launch the game.

If the above steps do not solve your issue, check this thread.

Concerning the internet connection, once your DLCs authorization process has been completed, you can log off and continue to play offline.

Log out in the game. Provided the DLC has been authorized once already, you can play it while offline.

I really want to play my old saves what I haven't played over 1.5 years.

I got my new computer last week and today I installed the DA origins.

I have now readed forums over 4 hours and done almost everything in my power to get my DLC back but its not happening.

First I didn¨t see anything on my content tablets "available" downloaded" and installed" then I downloaded the DLC manualy now I got my DLC back and its in the installed tab, But it is whining something about unauthorized use?
WTF.

I payed extra for those DLC an now I am unauthorized to use it?
The Dragon Age Content Updater is running DA is running nothing is blocking anything atleast to my knowleadge But still I can't get access to theses DLC that I OWN.

Yeah Im really pissed now and still can't get the DLC working.......

Does anyone have anyidea how to fix it?
I really want to play my old saves again but it won't let me cause "your account isn't authorized to use these dlc log in with account that has these DLC"
But I got all the three DLC stone prisoner, memory band, and the blood dragon armor. Why can't it see it? I am loged in with this account but still it says I have no authorize to use them. -.-

This problem was in my old computer too It logs in and all it connects to the "dragon age servers but still it won't regonize the DLC that I have or the ones I could buy, but now it regonizes the ones I have manually downloaded but still it says unauthorized use.... Dosen't work even in offline mode -.-

Same issue here, and I noticed that my bioware points are zeroed out even though I have 560 saved. If I check my profile in the store and Bioware Social through my browser, everything is still there. When I try to connect to my profile through the game it connects to a profile with my name, but there's no info.

I have the same issue, but if the problem lies with Bio-Wares servers then I may as well just find something else to do meanwhile.

Hope this gets resolved soon.

Hello all,

Same problem here too...unauthorized downloadable content. This is aggravating. I bought the retail boxed version(DAO Ultimate) for the PC and registered both the code for the game itself and the extra code for the included downloadable content. It worked for about a week and now this happens. I've tried setting the Dragon Age Updater to automatic, but still a no go.

Ugh, I wish I'd seen this thread earlier - my game crashed and when I restarted all of my DLC was unauthorized (installed but not linked to my account) - it shows that I've logged in fine, so I never thought it might be a Bioware server problem. I could have saved myself a lot of time troubleshooting..

I just had the same problem, and I have some advice for Bioware: Have us log in ONE time when we install the game to verify our stuff (once each time we download something new) and then dont require it ever again. This would fix the problem forever. Just my 2 cents.

As much as I'd love to have all the time in the world to be patient, this is an error that could be fixed if it just remembered that the computer I am using should always be authorized.

I never had to log online to play the extra maps on Fallout3:Game of the Year Edition
I never had to log online to authorize DLC when I played Oblivion on Steam
I never have to get on the phone and call my Car Dealer/Manufacturer to let them now I am me when I Turn the key in the ignition and start up my CD player addition.

I've been playing a lot of Origins for the past few days including earlier today and I have all the DLCs and now they are ALL unauthorized. Bummer!

It is a relief to see that it appears to be a problem on the server side because I was afraid my account had been nuked when I activated the Cerberus network for my new free PC version of Mass Effect 2, courtesy of having bought DA2.

Quick question how can we check server status so i can come back and check periodically? I mean rather than just logging into the game and quiting over and over ...

I noticed that if I restart DAUpdater service, start the game just after that and load save as fast as possible, game starts properly. All content is authorized, I have all the quests, stuff, etc.

However there is Levy Dryden in my camp, although I've already been to Soldier's Peak. I think I'll just wait and see what happens, I don't want to have corrupted save.
