I recently downloaded "The Witch Hunt" from the registered game content and used the daupdater from the data folder to install the module. The system installed 2 large Dazip files. The module does not appear in "other campeigns" or on "available content" but the in game status says "downloading" and stays on "0%".I have been trying to get it working for some time now.I am not  happy having paid for the module. If there is not a simple and  immediate solution, it would be nice to get a refund.BIOWARE please do something.Helmatious

You won't get an answer from Bioware here. If you want official (EA) help, you also won't get that here directly; but there are multiple links to the official EA help.

We (other users) might be able to help you if you can provide a bit more information. Please check the stickies, especially "READ FIRST" (so named with good reason), before posting. Help us to help you.

As a first guess, would be what is your game version? Most DLC problems are fixed after installing patch 1.05.

Hmm, so according to what you've shared here, you've got the latest patch. Did you try reinstalling the game and then the DLC? Unlike my original suggestion, you could also try doing all of that without ever starting up the game: first, uninstall the game, delete the files for Dragon Age in your C: drive (or whatever drive it's installed on) as well as the ones in "My Documents" (or "Documents", if you use Windows 7), then reinstall the game (don't start it yet), install patch 1.05, and install all the official DLC you own, then start the game. Also make sure you only have one copy of the game installed.

I am not sure what you mean by "the system installed two large dazip files." The game itself? Have you been trying to install the DLC manually using the DAUpdater and via the main menu's downloadable content section? You don't need to do both. Also, when you've manually installed the DLC, did you install the dazip file for the content and the offer file? For Witch Hunt, that means installing these two files: DAO_PRC_STR_1.1.dazip and DAO_PRC_STR_O_1.0.dazip. You can find them here.

Have you been getting any "unauthorized content" messages, or is it that Witch Hunt only shows up in the "currently installing" section of the downloadable content menu?

Do you have any other DLC, and have they been giving you any problems? Do you have any mods installed, and are they working properly? Also, have you tried any of the suggestions listed in the many guides to DLC issues?

Please pardon my plethora of questions. Your predicament is strange and I understand your aggravation, but more information is needed to understand what is going wrong. As I said before, if you've manually installed the DLC, it should be recognized within the game. That you've done this but the in-game status says "downloading" and stays at "0%", suggests some kind of issue with the game acknowledging that the DLC is there.

Have you tried deleting everything in the "settings" folder of the Dragon Age folder in your documents folder? Quit the game, delete those files, double-check that the 1.05 patch and all your DLC/mods are installed, then restart the game, and see if anything changes.

One more thing, apparently using anything besides numbers and letters in one's EA account password can cause issues. If your password that you use to log-in in the main menu has "non-standard characters," try creating one with only numbers and letters and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks, and good luck!

Thank you very much for your comprehensice reply.I have tried deleting everything in the "settings"folder. It did not work.I then re-installed the game and installed those 2 files,it did not work. But now I could download from the "d
ownloadable content"section. The Module now appears in "other campeigns" and it works.Again,Thank you.

After all the trouble getting it to work, I now find it was not worth it.Mediocre at best.
