Once a player get a set amount of tokens (50 for Platinum, 100 for Gold, 150 for Silver, 200 for Bronze for example) they are awarded with an Ultra Rare weapon
The system could even reward 4 tokens for Platinum, 3 for Gold, 2 for Silver and 1 for Bronze and award the Ultra Rare when player reaches 200 tokens

Problem with this is that if bonus is improved with difficulty, you're not doing anything but encouraging FBWGG and FBWGP. Anyone with thumbs can extract on a farming match; you'd just be making what they do more efficient.

I thought we all get the point that no one can stop farmers/grinders, otherwise, the more classes are released the more farming gets new strategies
So, players that do U/U/Platinum and rock it shouldn't be rewarded because of farmers?

While I'll leave the logistics to the multi-player dev team: Personally I like the idea of an extraction token. Nice idea.

Good idea that puts the grind at a limit, and gives rewards for actually completing the mission lore-wise.

Easy. Greater amount of tokens received for unknown map/enemy.

I like this idea. Just change the name from Tokens to Medals :D
It makes sense, if you are a great soldier you earn medals and better equipment

Sweet.  It's encouraging just to see anyone at BW endorsing the idea of making extraction worth doing.

Sounds like tokens you get from MMOs. *cough*worldofwarcraft*cough*

I like it though.

You should be awarded a class token, which in turn can be smelted to forge weapons.

It might also give people insentive to play difficulties that match their skill level. I would suggest a huge bonus for full extraction.

Say, 1 token for partial extraction and 5 tokens for full.

I fully endorse and support this idea.
Perhaps Tokens can also be used like Bioware points.

A Platinum full extraction should get at least 5 times as many tokens as a Bronze full extraction, though. If not more.

No offense to you... but does anyone else get annoyed when people think WoW invented everything?  I've seen token systems in games probably before Warcraft was a thing, let alone before they made an MMORPG out of it.  WoW gets credited with pretty much every idea in gaming history.  I saw someone rant about how some new game was stealing WoW's ideas because they used airships.  Airships.  Final Fantasy had airships in mass produced games back when everyone involved with WoW's creation still thought girls had cooties.

<sigh>

If we could choose the UR weapon it would be even awesome.

Sounds good but difficult to implement. From a devs point of view its a whole new system to implement whereas adding credits is much easier im sure.  From a user experience perspective its also harder to explain in a small amount of words which is important for in game explanations (news splash screen).
If this were done id lower the number of tokens required. 200 is a lot of effort for one urare.

Great idea.

And I disagree that it would eat into BW's pack sales. People no longer playing the game because it has gotten boring or discouraging will cut into their pack sales a lot more.

Ya, but at least you would know you will get one eventually. Right now its just a lottery.

Finally a purpose to finish the pointless round 11 apart from fun and false sense of accomplishment.

I think gold to platinum is a major step and token reward should be given accordingly. Any player fail to extract got no token. That should Stop vanguard from charging into banshee in last 5 second.

Once again you would be giving incentive for people to play difficulties they're not ready for.

I would be happier with this or some extra credits (5/10/20/35 or something would be encouraging) but let's be honest bioware are more likely to use the stick rather than the Carrott and cut your rewards if you fail to extract :/

Eh, Blizz has had such wild success with the game that stuff like that is bound to happen. WoW was the first (indeed, only) MMO I ever played, and as such any exposure I had to others after that I compared to my experience with WoW.
