Any reward or incentive to extract is a good thing. There should be more than just a shiny "Mission Success" for such efforts.

I had three consecutive games yesterday where people stood just outside the extraction zone, and caused partial extraction.   I mean, they were RIGHT FREAKIN THERE, maybe 2 steps away in one game.

Lol, nobody makes it to a Platinum full extraction who isn't ready for it.

Rarely do players get carried that aren't playing with friends.

I've yet to see somebody try suiciding after wave 10. Not even once I've encountered this.

I concur with the dev.
I love the extraction wave and I love to hoard all sorts of tokens.
So a resounding yes to this idea.
Also make it that you could also buy jumbo packs with this and I'd be one happy extracter.

IMO,it is an oversight by the devs and I'm surprised they didn't think about it when designing platinum.

On platinum,you will be hard pressed to find a public match that dosen't consist of all level 20s or level 19 at least.Any lower especially around 15 and they are most likely to be kicked out.We bring our best weapons and maxed characters to give ourselves the best chance of completing platinum(at least to complete all objective rounds) so what is the point of giving us a ton of exp for extracting then?

If we are already level 20,it won't do us any good.Even if the player brought in a level 19 character.I'm pretty sure they will prefer more credits as compared to exp since a couple of plat or a few gold games without extracting will net them that one more level.....they are going to be playing mulitple matches anyway so they are not in any rush to get it up.If we promote our favourite class,we are going to be knocked back to level 1 again and have to start the boring process of going through bronze->silver->gold->plat again to gain the levels.I don't think bringing in a level 1 to gold/plat is going to work any time soon or be acceptable to most of us.

I'm supportive of OP's idea but I also have a suggestion that more credits should be awarded in lieu of exp for gold and plat since bronze and silver are generally viewed as leveling/training rather than farming difficulties.Vice versa, exp award should be increased for bronze and silver instead.

I feel you should beat it into the multiplayer team's head sense they never acknowlage any of the ideas the community comes up with on giving extraction a purpose :whistle: At least they never ever post. Here I'll even supply the foam bat. :innocent:

I've got 2 or 3 different groups of friends I normally play with when I'm not PuG'ing it ... and with one group the rule of thumb is to get the credits at wave 10 and then suicide it.

Personally I prefer to extract because I think it's fun trying to fend off the endless horde on wave 11 long enough to "GET TO DE CHOPPA!" - so I really like the idea of having some incentive to extract. This proposed token system is actually probably the best idea I've read here for this since it's completely separate from credits and gives something you can ONLY get for extraction.

A very good idea. A chance to earn a UR by playing the game the way the devs wanted from the beginning.

I hope this idea catches the attention of bioware and they get on this fast.

Not trying after Wave 10 payoff is rampant. Once a character is at level 20, why bother?

I always try to get extractions but never use Medigels or Missiles in the effort unless it is very close and it would give the team at least a Lone Survivor award such as being within 10 seconds of extraction.

Problem with this idea is that to extract 100 Gold matches means an extra 200 minutes of play, which translates to about 10 gold farming gold matches, or 750000. Many of the people that purposely fail extraction might rather have 12 Spectre packs than an Ultrarare.

I think a better way to get EVERYONE trying for full extraction would be reducing the number of credits received in each match by 40% or so. Then, for each extracted member the team gets an extra 25%, up to double (the reduced) credits earned.

If gold currently earns 75000, in my new model would mean:

No Extraction : 45000
Sole survivor : 56250
2 survivors : 67500
3 survivors : 78750
full extraction: 90000


Note that if there's a griefer in the match who tries to screw it up for the rest of the team, everyone still gets a bit more than we get now.

This model would please all the current complainers, as it gives a 15000 credit bonus if everyone extracts and really would give everyone a reason to aim for full extraction.

Additionally, it wouldn't change the current difficulty level risk/reward balance at all (which seems to be a pretty good balance so far).
