Not sure if it's been posted but if you look down the sights of the Wraith, like most shotguns it's a lot less accurate. Hip firing, will let you headshot consistently at 30 to 50m(roughly)

Fairly long thread now so I may have missed a lot, but let me be on record as saying that the delay between firing the first and second shot is the problem with this gun. I think it is faster to reload cancel after the first shot.

Make it able to fire both shots quickly and this thing is the new best shotgun, but its UR so that shouldn't be a problem.

No, it isn't faster to reload cancel between each shot. Unfortunately I do not have video proof of this.

I believe you, but I still feel that delay is too long.  I suppose getting used to it is the trick.  Something about it always feels strange to me.

Sure...
increase RoF and/or one more bullet to shot (3).
It is a ultra rare weapon.

I use a Wraith III with my N7 Fury, and I love it.

Only little better than uncommon Eviscerator. Need a buff to be ultra rare.

It's the most underrated gun in the whole entire game.

Go ahead, quote me on that.

Quoted... and agreed with. If you can shoot bad guys in the head... it's a OSOK machine.

I really wish they would give it a buff. You would think that a charged GPS and Grael Shotgun would not outpace a ultra rare in damage but that is not the case. One thing I really love about the thing is its accuracy. Real easy headshots.

Fantastic underrated weapon especially for casters. Unfortunately the piranha is just way too good.

It's... good. But it feels like it falls short just a hair when it comes to dealing with bosses. Since it's intended as a lighter shotty, it doesn't need to rail them, but it needs something. Higher RoF, as some suggested, would be a possibility. The issue, more than anything else, is competition for it's role. The piranha is simply way more powerful, and not much heavier. The talon can be significantly lighter, does relatively comparable damage, and has a bigger clip. Personally, I think I'd like to see innate AP, but I seriously doubt that will happen and would probably make the gun *too* good. A most likely suggestion would be slight RoF and damage increases.

Damage is ok to me...
RoF increases will be right. But one more bullet will be correct too.

It's fine the way it is. I love it at X on my Justicar and BatSol. It pops heads at medium range while hip firing and is light as a feather. Of course it's not going to outperform the Piranha, I refuse to use that OP thing,I don't need to use the best weapons all the time like some people.

Higher RoF. It should not be overshadowed by the Claymore when it is supposed to be a slightly better N7 version of it like the Black Widow is to the Widow.

It's not supposed to be an upgraded Claymore, it's a variant of the Eviscerator.

The problem with the Wraith is it has poor sustained dps for bosses and cannot use barrel for extra damage like the Talon can since you generally want smart choke/shredder. On top of that it's damage is split among more pellets so armor DR will hurt you more.

What it does have it great burst damage and you don't lose the Scorpion as an option (best sidearm). Power spammy builds are also better off with the Wraith since the low RoF matters less when you do damage with powers between shots. It's not so cut and dry, but I do think the Wraith should be buffed a little. Comparing it to the Claymore is dumb.

edit: Piranha blows them both out of the water though.

An accuracy buff would make it Un-Wraithy.

A ROF buff would make it a stereotypical video game double barreled shotgun. I am all for it.

I don't think by lore the Wraith should deviate too much from its parent; same ROF, similar low weight, but with less rounds per clip expended for an increase in damage.

For those who want a powerful and [very] fast firing two-shooter, the AT-12 Raider will most likely be here soon enough. Albeit, its accuracy sucks, but you can fire very, very quickly with it (E: it does the highest damage in the game too with those two shots which can be fired nearly as quickly as one).

The Wraith was always good, just than now it's completely outclassed by the Piranha as the caster shotgun of choice which on top of that is way easier to get and max out. So buff it or nerf the other, doesn't matter for me.

Yeah - weirdly this gun can't hit the side of a bus from more than 20 feet away if you aim it... but hip-firing, it's lethal. I actually prefer it to the Claymore on the SI because it keeps your cloak cycle short.

I don't know if the couple of weapon stats Google docs I see around here are accurate, but they both suggest that the Wraith has an accuracy penalty for zooming (which I don't see any other gun having).

Changing its fire rate from [48] to [60] isn't too fast. (25% buff.)
The delay would still be long enough to be noticeable.
