I avoid playing Wynne because she keeps charging enemies and getting burnt to a crisp. If I tell the whole party to Hold, then every time a tank gets knocked back or buffeted he loses targeting and I have to tell him to attack again. Not a game-breaker, but it certainly detracts from the excitement during a big battle. Is there any way to tell her to not move?
Tactics, is there a way to make only Wynne stand still?

Set her tactic preset to Ranged.

What tactics does she have set? She should only be charging enemies if she has melee range skills she's using, not sure what those would even be. Staffs are ranged, so even if she autoattacks she should have no reason to move.

I forgot to mention. A friendly glyph of warding on the ground is a Wynn magnet. If you are playing a mage and put a glyph of warding somewhere, she'll go to it if she possibly can. She prefers to stand on one. I usually give Wynn the entire glyph line which adds immeasurably to her usefulness, and she uses those glyphs to improve her own performance...and it helps you root her where you want her.

I tried both of these - set her to ranged and set her to always cast a Warding glyph. Seems to keep her out of harms way !

Ranged helped, thanks. I'll try the glyph next, but she can't keep it up all the time.
