It sucks, some classes are good with it (really good) but those classes are good with pretty much any weapon and if you nerf it cause of that they'll just start using something else and everyone will whine for that to be nerfed as well and so on and so on until a once fun game is completely broken thanks to nerf whiners

Try using it on a adept on gold or platinum and stand out of cover long enough and in range of a boss to empty a mag and see which one of you dies first. It's not a good gun for 75% of the race/class combinations

This, but it doesn't suck on other classes, it's simply a balanced weapon. It should weight more, that's it.

Recoil is an issue EVEN with Stability Equipment
Spread is bad if you dont have smart choke and Marksman
And you have to be right next to whatever you're killing.

Leave the Piranha alone. It's range is complete trash already. So damage is great? Good. Shotguns SHOULD have high damage at close range.

All the shotguns that are actually a shotgun*, besides the piranha and claymore, just happen to be absolutely terrible. The ability to do mediocre damage at uncomfortably close ranges is just bad, and the others are popular because they can (in some cases only on certain classes) avoid that downfall.

*reegar, GPS, graal, don't really count. The reegar even says it's a 'carbine'.

OP is right... the gun is ridiculous. It's most OP on the GI... but so is everything else.

The gun needs a weight nerf at the very least. It shouldn't be on every single class..

There was this random in our lobby over the weekend... he kept switching classes, and on every class was a Piranha. When was the last time I saw that? When the Krysae was popular due to being OP... seeing the same gun on ever class from Vanguards to Soldiers to Infiltrators to Engineers... it a clear sign that something might just be OP.

The nerfhammer commeth... and I hope it gets the Geth Infiltrator too (since weapon performance on the GI is one of the largest contributors to nerfs IMO).
