Seriously, the Piranha has NO range. Smart choke does NOTHING to improove the range of the gun. The only thing that even remotely makes it "medium to long range" is Marksman on a Turian Soldier... <_<

Lol. This gun is fantastic on on a few classes yes, and no matter the nerf it may or may not receive the nature of the gun and the abilites it synergizes with will allow it to remain fantastic with these select classes. If your using this gun on biotics, you better be 180+ through passives or you are doing it wrong.

Add weight- still fine on soldiers and all infiltrators besides Shadow. Decrease accuracy. Still will be great on Turian soldier, destroyer, and GI. Reduce Clip. Mods Change, remains fine on destroyer w/ mods. Decrease rate of fire- still excels on these classes. Nerf all of these besides clip and you have a scimitar which is still really good with the right mods and ammo.

I loved the scimitar before the Piranah because it had great synergy on GI and Turian.

Nerf this gun all you want, the games other cqc classes suffer or will just go back to the reegar or talon.

You get rid of shield gate...everyone wins and shotguns+ talon don't remain a superior option.

It will be interesting to see how this "problem" of a gun will be addressed.

I'm sorry "brother" but the Krysae did nothing... The Tactile Cloak destroyed the Krysae! Cloak along side Devastator mode could also destroy the Piranha, the Geth Plasma Shotgun, the Claymore, the Cerberus Harrier, the Typhoon and then some...

The N7 Destroyer and the Geth Infiltrator will thrive no matter how many weapons get nerfed!! It's a simple fact... However, the Turian Sentinel, Krogan Soldier or Batarian Soldier will suffer with a nerfed typhoon... An Asari Vanguard or a Turian Soldier will be seriously affected by a nerfed piranha...

I don't support nerfing weapons like the Krysae to the point of uselessness because of specific classe or classe type power abuse...

If the Krysae was an AR in stead of a Sniper, if the Cloak would have had it's level 4 power "general damage" reduced to... let's say 15-20% in stead of 40% and if the level 6 "Sniper damage" would have stayed at 90%... We wouldn't have had any issues...

As for the "Devastator mode", it does'nt have enough drawback to the shear power it brings to the battle field... Even a Phaeston with this power becomes ruthless!! Mobility alone as draw back is an insult of all Turians, Krogans and Batarians in this game who are barely even any faster without any benefits to back them up...

And this was my rant of the day! :P

It sucks, some classes are good with it (really good) but those classes are good with pretty much any weapon and if you nerf it cause of that they'll just start using something else and everyone will whine for that to be nerfed as well and so on and so on until a once fun game is completely broken thanks to nerf whiners

Try using it on a adept on gold or platinum and stand out of cover long enough and in range of a boss to empty a mag and see which one of you dies first. It's not a good gun for 75% of the race/class combinations


I actually find it incredibly useful on the Fury, since you have to get pretty close for the Fury to be effective anyway.  You just have to pick your spots.

The GI causes more weapons to get nerfed than the weapons themselves. Nobody ever says "That gun is so OP on a Turian Soldier! OMG!" nope... the GI is the one common denominator in all the OP gun discussions. Hard to do anything about it without screwing over the GE w/ Hunter Mode, or the SI/TS w/ Proxy Mine... or all other Infiltrators with TC.

I agree it needs more than a weight nerf... but that'll probably be the first step. I never even used it Pre-buff... how was it there? Still OP?

No, the ONLY thing remotely needed is a weight nerf. NOTHING more. Anything more, and it'll become useless, because , as I said earlier, it has NO range to it (don't pull that smart choke BS, it does nothing to help). It's risky to use, just like the Reegar Carbine, so it SHOULD have a payoff.

The Krysae was a dark lie that brought ruination to all sniper infiltrators and then vanished after it dealt it's damage. 

The Piranha is not class or power dependant.  It is pure OP by itself, more than the Krysae ever was. 

Seek not to deny this, accept this great truth and combat this unholy threat.

Well, in all fairness that's what they get for making it sacrifice shields for that benefit in a game where your shields are like a wall of transparent tissue paper.

Let's see, I could throw away nothing for more damage, mobility, accuracy and rate of fire, or play a class that gets to keep its nothing and doesn't have those benefits. Decisions, decisions...
