I dont even use the pirana but everyone I see using it ends up on the bottom of the scoreboard. I wonder why?
Im genuinly curious. I dont use the gun so I cant judge it but I have never seen a player do well with it. Every time someone joins my team with it they are almost always at the bottom of the board and I have never seen anything more manacing then a husk be killed by one
You're obviously playing with the wrong people. I run the Piranha X with Smart Choke and the Accuracy booster mods on my Demolisher (as well as the Harrier VI w/ Barrel and clip). Just today and yesterday in all but one game of Gold (Cerberus/Random) I scored at least 110,000 with my score double second place (Full Extraction every game). The one exception game I "only" scored 88,000 and that was still 25,000 more than 2nd place. In all but two of the games I was running a Shotgun Amp III and AP Ammo IV (the other two I ran an Assault Amp III instead). I will be honest and say I don't always make first place with the class, but I'm always effective (and having a good time playing too).
Anyway, the point is, don't judge the effectiveness of a gun simply based on the people who have no idea how to utilize it to its maximum potential as well as support it with gear and such. And honestly it shouldn't matter anyway as long as they contribute to the overall team goal of earning credits and extracting (if you even try for that). It's such an incredibly fun and rewarding weapon to use in the game. It will be such a shame when they inevitably nerf it with all of these people asking for it (as they've seemingly done with a number of other things).
Also, I'm sternly against nerfing the Piranha (or any weapon for that matter). I find it ridiculous to do so in a non PVP game especially one where we all share the rewards of completion and failure as a unit. Especially nerfing the UR weapons (Typhoon for instance). They should be better than lower rarity weapons and deservedly so as difficult as it is to unlock these weapons and their subsequent upgrades.
