I haven't seen a single shred of "proof" that the piranha is overpowered in this thread. It's powerful on a few classes, not on all. All you can say against that is mindless "Oh, you guys have no argument" but it's actually you who has no argument. Please leave, troll.

It's OK Quotes. It's no secret the Piranha will be touched by the nerfbat and if DNC thinks it's all his doing then so be it. The real reason will not be due to this thread or the topic starters whimsical raving. It will be due in part to the fact it makes farming (mainly) and runs in general too easy for all classes to successfully finish thereby cutting into the microtransactions of the store. That's video proof of Platinum being beaten in 11 minutes. Yes, you have proof of that. It doesn't prove that the gun is OP, half of them were male quarians with Harriers and the two that had the Piranhas were Geth Infiltrators, a class that would obviously do well with this weapon. Try again, nerfer.

Networked ai-+ 7.5% weapon damage,20% headshot bonus,and +10% weapon damage(Total of +22.50%)
The weapon mods: smart choke 5,-+50% accuracy and high caliber barrel 5 +25% weapon damage.
Other mods(i don`t have them, so i can`t tell how much extra damage he`s got)Armor piercing 4,Shotgun rail amp 3(+??%),Shotgun amp 5(+??%).
I would like to see another run with another character(because of extra weapon damage) and without the equipment mods, take a bigger map and then you can tell me it`s OP(range and damage wise)

Hahahahaaha, that's your proof it's OP? You realize only two of the 4 got 25+ kills with it over 11 waves? Oh Lordy, you're trying too hard now.

The video shows all that is needed.

What the video shows is a display of skill, well thought out strategy, teamwork, spawn control and optimized builds with full damage equipment.
All this video proves is that a bunch of skilled players can make platinum look easy while using full damage equipment, good weapons and optimized builds. And it's on the smallest map in the game, where 95% of the fights happen in close quarters. An innacurate but powerful shotgun seems to be very effective on the smallest map in the game. Big shock, I know. So please, don't try to use this as proof that the Piranha is OP, because you very clearly fail to factor in all of the things I just mentioned.

And what happens when the Piranha gets nerfed bacause a very small, but vocal minority complains about it on this god forsaken forum? The answer is, once it gets nerfed into mediocrity or uselessness like the Krysae, most of the player base will forget about it and start using the next best thing. Speedrunners will also throw it in the garbage bin and go back to using Claymores and Harriers. And once someone posts a sub 9min platinum run with four Claymore Infiltrators, what then? Nerf the Claymore? Nerf Arc Grenades? Nerf Hunter Mode? Nerf Proximity Mine? Nerf Glacier? Where does it end?

Thank you for admitting the Piranha is out of control.

Except it's not. What is important to note is a handful users making extremely good use of it for specialized runs on one map. This skews the perception of it being over the top. The video you posted shows some interesting tidibits. Spawns being missile camped, enemies being debuffed by arc grenades and proxy mines, and Piranhas being used by two characters that boost any weapons output to juicy levels.

It doesn't show it being used by any other class though. Why? Probably because it wouldn't work to get a time that low. Would it be effective in those classes hands? Certainly. But nowhere near the same time because it would be closer to balanced.

On the last page alone I believe DNC Protoman has told people that they can "keep kicking and screaming" while simultaneously believing that anybody who opposes his trollish comments are piranha lovers. Only thing you showed is a vid with A LOT of extra weapon damage.
Can somebody tell how much extra damage he`s got with the Shotgun rail amp 3 and shotgun amp 5?
You`ve got at least 65% extra accuracy!
