It's popular because it's insanely superiour to EVERYTHING else in the game.

I found it quite lack luster and only used it a handful of times. Too much recoil, you can't hit the broad side of a barn, and was only useful at point blank range or for bosses when I used smart choke and armor piercing. I prefer just about every other gun to it.

Ohh I've used it... just got done using it on a GI to carry 2 morons and a decent player through a Platinum PUG. Scores were something like:

Me - 140k
Decent guy - 80K
2 Idiots - 40k each

I know how OP it is... but I'd hate to see another weapon get destroyed b/c its OP on a few classes. I think it's the few classes that need looked at... and it still needs a weight nerf regardless.

They had selected enemy faction and map... which = less XP points... suprisingly.. it was Geth/White/Platinum... who'd of ever thought? Ohh BTW... it was a Piranha 2!! I've been playing on my kids account to get his UR's up b/c I got all mine maxed and I'm sick of it not dropping the new gear for me... but it damn sure drops it for my kids account. He's already got a higher Densified Ammunition than I do... and he has a Valiant V.

I still dont know how its soo op to complain about it, I am always first, once I reached n7 rank over 100 I was never 2nd, 3rd or 4th

Making this thread is awfully hypocritical of you.

It  is foolish to defend this gun.  I combat unreasonable nerfs, however, this Piranha is a huge problem as it is.  It will lead to many classes being gimped.  And after that it will be nered to oblivion anyway. 

I offer the best option. Give up your OP cannon before it's too late...

Sincerly, I think that Apfel Strudels could use a buff in this game. They taste delicious, but man, I'm like glued to the ammo box to utilize them at their best.

He doesn't want a nerf, he just wants Platinum difficulty to be diamond difficulty. He's embarrased people can contribute to a Co-Op game just as much as him now.

It does not matter one bit what people are saying. Bioware is going to see it's usage and it will end up being nerfed whatever people say.

They need to buff the spare clip AND clip size for them to be effective on gold/platinum, As it stands I finish them much too quickly.

a foolish point of view.  This gun IS getting nerfed.  I want it to happen before it causes other major nerfs to occur, just as the Krysae did.

We got literally ONE, just ONE weapon in this game which is 100% human, and I cant use it well unless I'm playing Demolisher.

That's right.  I only hope they Nerf it quickly and enough to where it's not the game-breaker it currently is.

Get it done without nerfing the classes to the ground and it will be a win.

I say cut the piranha's damage back to release state or maybe 5% less and tweaking down it's RPM/refire time so that Infiltrators lose a shot or two from from TC's bonus. Altering its weight too much means it heads towards the pile of medium weight shotguns discouraging it from caster use.

I seriously doubt Bioware are going to go Falcon/Krysae on it.
