I don't feel that way about it. Comfort for me is as much as fast as possible with as little as possible, and finding a balance with it.

Piranha lol. Just done that earlier today, 2 phantoms, 2 atlases and some small fries as a Paladin on wave 9 FBGCG... all in a day's... oh, second answer?

If by "lightest" you mean "crappiest" (some of the best weapons in the game have hax low weight), then avenger I guess, simply because I would rather hold the trigger instead of constant clicking. The problem would be not having the others go AFK/leave in the meantime.

Wow, I certainly hope most people are joking with the weapons they suggested. Shuriken or Predator? Can those ever take a boss down outside of bronze?

Mm... paladin, arc pistol (spammed), talon and hornet (or hurricane if you get it) are probably the fastest light things DPS wise. Tempest with the piercing mod would make a good stand in. Phalanx is nice imo but depends how fast your finger can twitch (and the predator even moreso).

Acolyte. Pretty light and I assume you are using a caster class if you want a good cooldown. If so, acolyte is your friend. 2-3 shoots will strap a banshee of the barrier, 3 will take out a prime's shields, and the AoE takes out the turrets he spawns too. 4 or so take out an atlas' shields.

It doesn't do as much damage after stripping, but use a AP + barrel mod to help, and then use your powers on the boss.

Yes, yes they can. I wouldn't do it on purpose though.

Why not? The Predator has a higher DPS than than the Carnifex

Predator X with extended mag and armor piercing mod.
Even tough it does low damage "per se" the amount of bullets you can put in your target in such a short time makes up for it. Its like the pistol version of the mattock. But you will probably end up needing a spare trigger finger after a match or 2 using this one as main weapon.

Hmmm... Are we talking light weight or just NOT an extra special weapon. I find it funny that people are mentioning the Talon and Hurricane as a choice. In my eyes those are both kickass weapons that don't belong in the "comfortable zone" but in the "I'm going to rip you apart zone".

Also, are we talking weapon only or are we talking two shots in between biotic explosions?

In my opinion for a non-weapon-specialist class AND not particularly awesome weapons I could go for: Phalanx, Tempest, Hornet, Mattock.

Hurricanes have some merit. I've seen an n7 17 with one. <.< But the farther from Ultra rare/promotional rarity, and the lighter, the better.

I'd like it kept in mind that you're not a class that can make heavy use of biotic explosions, but shots between powers use is possible.

Hurricane is one of the best weapons in the game, that's why I wouldn't consider it a valid answer. 

A medium/low quality weapon that I would take into Platinum? 

Phalanx, Tempest, Raptor all of them with AP mods.

You won't be top of the scoreboard but you can survive.
