So, I really enjoy the ME3 multiplayer, but no matter what they add, it is still absically the same game, that is, defend yourself against hordes of enemies. So, I was thinking, what kind of DLC could be a truly different experience, and I have aninteresting idea.
Imagine a DLC of boards that are like MMO style "dungeons". The team has to move its way through the board as enemies spawn, and in order to shut off spawns they must either move past certain point or hit some button/perform some task. Then there would be boss-style encounters. These would be new, unique enemies which would spawn when you reached specific areas and would need to be defeated by the group as a whole. Beyond just being large enemies that do a lot of damage and havea lot of health, these encounters could be scripted in such a way that you had to sometimes defeat them in unique ways. One example could be needing to lure an enemy into a place where you could activate something that destroyed it, or even a huge Reaper enemy where you needed to send part of the squad inside it.
I think this could really bridge the gap between shooter style games and cooperative MMOs, having some of the more fun aspects of each. So, tell me what you think? I know this would be far more complex than current MP DLC, but I would be willing to pay for a DLC like this.
DLC that could revitalize MP

This would require considerable changes to the ME3 engine (its built for one type of MP) that I don't think would be worth the price to make. It'd be better done as a spin off game.

Does this mean the Geth, Cerberus, and the Reapers are going to adopt the infallible strategy of lining up in groups of 3 or 4 waiting to be pulled?
It could be interesting if done right, though. Would be a welcome game mode.

I would think a few of the best things they can do is add some n7 co-op story missions and give us the collectors as a faction to fight in multiplayer

Aye a proper mission mode or base defense mode actually be a welcome change from the horde.

Personally, I'd rather see a "Fort" style take on our current horde mode. It would probably only need new maps. They already have turret resources in the game that we could use as hard points for the forts. Would balance out having hordes of Banshees teleporting at you.

I'm still waiting until they add larger bosses
i.e. Harvesters / Some big fight like the human reaper / Using turrets to take down Geth drop ship
* You might want to take some interest in Global Agenda or Firefall by the way to satisfy this connection of Shooter and MMO

I could imagine them advancing a bunch inother mass effect game i just do not think they can do to much with mass effect 3 besides give us more characters and possibly give us another faction to fight.

I would love to see a type of multiplayer like Left 4 Dead be implemented. Have it be 4 vs 4, the other 4 people can randomly spawn as any enemy unit (if chosen to be a boss unit will have a time limit), of course there will be no change to the enemy players health outside it's computer counterparts, but it would add an element of uncertainty to mobs actions and certainly make some interesting new strategies

Off topic but GoW Judgement is going to do that exact thing and it would be amazing to play as a banshee i agree. This would probebly have to be in the next mass effect game or a spinnoff so they can change the game entirely to set up for this

I'm for these ideas. They're fresh and have tons of potential. If they could add new objectives, hopefully, these ideas are already being worked on and happen.

I want a new mode where i can wrestle thresher maws! If you succeed you get to ride it around the map cackling manically at the maw eating banshees. If you fail the maw eats you!
Or a nice game of hide and seek with a pure phantom team vs an n7 team in the keeper tunnels of the citadel! Well when i say seek i actually mean shoot....

Add Collectors and Omega Mercs as enemies. Add an extended mini-story to the mission maps, a la Call of Duty's Zombie Mode in Black Ops.
