Some do, but I quite frankly do not.

Well that's a bit of a generalisation, I don't think I've met anyone who "believes" it. It is a possibility that must be considered however. There are some things supporting it, but until we have more info, we can't really say it's 100% true or not. I doubt Bioware would ever call anything "Project X" but the content doesn't seem unlikely.

Goodnight 401 Kill.

Does IT involve dinosaurs or would it if there was a Dinosaur DLC?

I dont know....byne, do we believe in this?

most "iters" arent the blind faith type, despite what others may think. We do a lot of research and cross referencing of our info, so no, ITers, far as I can tell, dont "believe" in project x. Hopeful? Yes

Whats your counterargument against Leviathan since he pretty much confirms the Catalyst is real and not a dream or hallucination?

A lot of people could explain it better than me, but it doesn't do anything to IT. Now that we have the premise of a thing in charge of the reapers, it means everything in the end sequence is created through memory. It actually makes it more plausible. There's also the whole thing about how the Leviathan's conversation looks exactly like the "catalyst" one. It also isn't stated who or where the "Intelligence" is, and some believe it to be Harbinger. It also doesn't make much sense for the intelligence to be the "catalyst" because the citadel was created long after the reapers. Also, Anderson and TIM are real people, but that doesn't mean they aren't in the hallucination! Just like how Bryson, Hadley, and Fake-Garneau are in the Leviathan's alternate-reality. That's not really an argument.

Actually,The Citadel is part of the Catalyst and the Reapers must have added the Citadel to the Catalyst. But you're right. There's no reason to think the intelligence is the Catalyst. But that means when Shepard wakes up,he's likely going to talk to this intelligence.

Exactly, the end makes even more IT sense now, because going in, Shepard knows that there's an "Intelligence" that's in charge of the Reapers.

No. You believe the catalyst is the intelligence merely because the being you encounter in the decision chamber claims to be. Keep in mind you have no good reason to trust something that claims to lead the force thats been trying to kill you for 3 games.

Leviathan only confirms the existence of an intelligence. He does not suggest that said intelligence is the catalyst. In fact additional dialogue within the game further suggest that the catalyst and intelligence are two separate things. Vendetta, whose assertions many literalists still cling to, makes a clear distinction between the catalyst and what ever it is that controls and guides the reapers.

Further more, the reapers created the Citadel. How can the citadel = catalyst and = the intelligence, when the intelligence created the reapers who created the catalyst? Can you see how the intelligence being the catalyst makes no sense now?

Also think of this. How does an AI with enough power to harvest the Leviathan need Sovereign to activate the signal in ME1? AI is powerful enough to take them out without a single Reapers help, but it's reduced to elevator man/tour guide in the decision chamber? Not likely

Wouldn't the original dream be different than the one after Leviathan?

Sees Leviathan do a mind control on Shepard that mirrors the ending chat with the catalyst.

Wants a counterargument for a story about an AI that may or may not exist proving that the catalyst is real.

And me?  I want to know why Sovereign did a suicide mission trying to get control of the Citadel back when the Citadel was "part of" the AI controlling it.

Yeah, that could happen. Especially if it's Harbinger, as it's been heavily implied that he is the leader of the reapers. It's something writers don't do." Harbinger is really important and the leader of the reapers." "Lol jk this kid is."
In the same sense as how it was all like "OMG guys the citadel is the catalyst!" then "LOL Nope this kid is." in essentially the next mission. What? Fortunately, that's fixed in IT.

And due to the kid being the leader of the Reapers, having the same speech mannerisms, and commonly using the same words as Harbinger...

I mean, most of us figured the kid was Harbinger throughout IT's history, and Leviathan helps that even more.

hey you guys. This is the first time ive been on here at this hour. Its 4:30am and im on route to the airport.

So yeah, Leviathan can't possibly have mentioned the intelligence being the catalyst as it has no idea what the crucible is. Does it even say that the intelligence is on the citadel? I cant remember, I am quite tired though.
