That people are easily manipulated fools?  Lots of psychological studies have already shown that.

Maybe the people that didn't pick synthesis just don't understand art.

Think hard about what is green in ME.

Go back and listen to the songs that tie to missions with very obvious Reaper involvement...for example; Ardat Yakshi.  And even some that don't have that obvious connection (like Surkesh) - and listen to the tone, horns, and bass reverberations...at least for me its hard not to hear/feel the "Reaper" noises through out the soundtrack...

Hey, you want to hear something creepy? Listen to Sur'kesh. Feel the drums when the theme builds up, and tell me what you notice.

Edit: @Megumi and Doomsday thank you. Posted Image

I've never watched any of the Youtube IT videos.  Just never saw the point in spending half an hour listening to someone narrate evidence I already knew about.

Choose wisely isn't an IT vid, not really at least.

True observations but I wouldn't put much emphasis on color in regards to the ending.  Control was blue...

And yes, while I am aware that not all renegade actions are "bad" and not all paragon decisions are "good" the tone of the renegade decisions in regards to the ME game endings always involves giving a lot of power to a small group of individuals...and such decisions were shown to backfire somehow.  Since Control seems to fit this description rather well, I think it's safe to say that it should be labeled as red if this were, in fact, the real ending

My point was simply to highlight that green is the unknown, unsure option. If the middle option (between paragon and renegade) was a colour, it would certainly be green, and not just because of the colour spectrum. Those options almost never work out well because Shepard is being indecisive.

I see. That's fairly fitting, I suppose. I did write about how synthesis must rewrite you, and therefore kill you. Posted Image

But colours are not anything definite to go on, simply interesting.

I noticed that too. I also noticed a train in one song. Didn't Otter have a theory with trains?

That makes me so sad I can barely listen to it. Posted Image That's why I have so much trouble with the incomplete ending; the rest was so good! Posted Image

I didn't hear any heartbeat sounding things though, if that's what you were talking about.

Did you know Vigil plays in the ME3 menu, and it isn't actually silent? My first clue that Bioware is subtle. It's bascially real life indoctrination actually. Music does make you feel different things. By putting that music in the menu and the war room, it is changing your mood without you realising, like infrasound. Music is extremely important in ME3, and it proves that if they wanted to, they could have made the ending feel much different.

I noticed right away that the ME3 main menu is playing vigil, took a bit longer for the war room though.

But it was actually just random, I like the vigil theme just so much more with these sounds and YT only had the music only. Though anyone know what that is at ~18 seconds? Sounds like something shutting down. Also from what I saw while recording is that the music and background sounds are actually in sync, maybe even one, though I didn't test that.

It does sound like that, but the only thing I can think of is the stasis field being shut off because Shepard's already at Vigil.

But still you didn't/don't recognize the background sound that is repeating over and over as heartbeat? I only know people who do, and I only recently while recording noticed it's actually 3 sounds, not 2.

Also Ilos is mostly green :P
and it has that weird synthesis going on with metal growing over trees, and plants growing over metal ^^

I was wondering the same thing. I know there was that article going around about the docs leaving because of hate, but that has little to do with IT...

Quite the opposite in fact. Generally speaking, ITers are much less angry with Bioware than literalists. Confused Banshee is confused. Posted Image

But I suppose I'll never really understand literalists anyway. Posted Image

Ahh, found it. I have no idea how I missed it the first time. I guess it's a sort of tunnel hearing? Which is odd, because wasn't focused on anything...

Anyway, I don't know what to make of it. It's probably nothing, or maybe just a bit of suspenseful sound effects.

I'll be back later. Posted Image

Eternal. Infinite. Immortal.
The poster I was used these words,
but only now do I truly understand them.
And only now do I comprehend the full potential of this thread.
To ensure all ITers have a voice.

I noticed that too. Maybe I made it worse by replying to several ending related threads over the past 24 hours. :o

Out of sheer boredom because we have little to discuss. <_<

Yeah spot on.  The choice is made much harder and more interesting by having an apparently neutral option (two options with DLC) but they both basically boil down to - trying to avoid the big decision (Control v Destroy) by somehow appealing to some middle ground.  But the game's always been about having the courage to make these tough decisions, and while in the past you usually couldn't avoid them, here they give you that option to avoid the question, with arguably worse consequences than either of the main choices.

Well said. I agree.

Shepard: If you'd saved them all, would things have worked out better?
Vega: I... I don't know. I don't think so.
Shepard: The right choice is usually not the easy one.

@Bill Casey: Dude, that is hilarious.

I had a great idea for a video in which Starbinger answers Shepard's questions with some Avina quotes. I even selected some dialogue bits, it's pretty damn funny. Can't be arsed to do all that though. =P
