Yeah I really didn't take "Harbinger never misses" out of the charge the beam sequence. The "God, they're all gone" and "Hammer's been completely wiped out" really drive that home.

Well, I can agree with that easily. I don't see any use for defending a weak argument just for the sake of it, it's a waste of time and energy.

Bye now.

Also I rely on explosions scripted for Shepard, that is game mechanic in both cases. It doesn't matter if you're close or as far away as you can be for the explosion on the Geth ship, you always receive the same amount of damage because it's scripted that way. What I was saying is they purposely made the explosions on the Geth ship hurt, but not the close shots by Harby which have much more force.

Sorry, which explosions on the Geth Dreadnaught are you talking about? Haven't played that mission in a while.

Control Harbinger gets Shepard's mind just like he wanted.

In Synthesis Harbinger prepars Shepard for the Asenction.

In Destroy Shepard wakes up.

In Refuse Shepard gives up, and let's everyone down by leaving the galaxy to fight the Reapers instead of Shepard.

The Leviathan, the Thorian, and the Rachni developed means of indoctrination through evolution instead of technology. The Rachni less developed, they can talk through certain (dead/dying) species but not control them. they can "sing" to each other across systems. None of them developed with the technology of the Reapers (The Citadel, the Mass Relays).

There's a pattern here, a link, I'm not sure I'm seeing it as it should be, could use some help.

Shepard is said to be an anomaly, could it be he/she's the first organic of our time to develop a means of indoctrination? Or a variant of it, very subtle, and that's how he/she seems to inspire people so easily, convince them to do things they normally wouldn't like give up their life of crime, or lie to a commanding officer/merc leader (with a high paragon/renegade/repuation score of course), That spark that makes people want to follow you to hell itself.

Is this how Shepard has been resisting indoctrination thus far? An anomaly... Hmm.

This...is amazing.

It would also explain the emphasis on humanity in the series. Humanity is the new evolution of organics, after the leviathan monoliths, thorian parasites, and rachni insects. Shepard is the start of the new trend, and Harbinger HAS to understand it before organics 'adapt' their way out of the imposed cycles.

Reading problems? I clearly wrote "in front", but I don't want you to get all worked out on reading difficult text on a bright screen if that causes you some problem. Anyways, the relation between game mechanics applying on the Geth ship and the Beam run are so remotely suggesting that Shepard is about to getting indoctrinated that I can hardly see why you spend so much energy on this. But there might just be a simple explanation at hand as to why such things would be implemented in some sequences. I do not think it has anything to do with fanfiction, though.

Paranoia also has people making unrealistic connections between unrelated events that seem to "fit their beliefs" better, comforting them that they're not crazy and that the people around them are really trying to hurt them.

Have a nice day.

Well, that makes sense to me, considering a few days ago during some deep thinking, I discovered that leadership is simply a form of subtle indoctrination.

Idiot. The literal interpretation requires much more explaining, handwaving, and space magic than IT does. IT isn't a belief, either. It's an interpretation. There is only one ending, simply different viewpoints.

Protip: Keep insulting people. It's a great way to have them pay attention to you. Posted Image

Damn! It's the ramp!!! Look how conveniently Shepard falls one floor down just to see it before escaping the disaster. Surely most players would miss that one in the heat of the moment.

That's very interesting. It's a ramp, which Shepard sees straight in front of her, then she takes the right turn to escape.

You started this. Maybe you should increase whatever medication you are taking, because it's clearly uneffective.

Okay, here is a list of what Harbinger hits:

0:41 Mako
0:50 Soldier
0:53 Two Soldiers at once
0:56 Gunship
1:02 Misses Shepard
1:07 Misses Shepard
1:07 Soldier
1:12 Volvo Tank
1:14 Gunship
1:16 Soldier
1:21 Volvo Tank
2:53 Mako
3:07 Mako
3:16 Shepard

I was not able to analyze a few shots, since in this video the guy was desperately looking for Liara (I can understand that) and Garrus (aswell as this) and shooting at Harbinger for a brief period of time.
But I guess it is safe to say that Harbinger is good at shooting.

EDIT: ****! The links are gone :pinched:

We had the same setup, even the same level of Typhoon (and I only used gear, not consumables), but the difference was I was playing silver. I almost never play gold with randoms.

That's odd.  Are you sure you didn't have piercing mod and/or AP ammo?  I thought the canopy bug only happened with them.  Or anyone else maybe attacking it?  I know there's a difference between silver and gold, but if I BARELY managed it with two clips I can't imagine a single one working for silver.

Sorry about snapping at you regarding it earlier, I assumed you were talking about a popular clip on the MP forums that's been making the rounds of someone downing a gold Atlas with one clip... which we later deduced was due to the aforementioned canopy bug we thought fixed.  And the guy had a typhoon X, AP or warp ammo IV (I can't remember which), a rail amp III, ect.  Just every advantage fathomable.  I get a little sick of hearing about that clip while it takes me 400+ bullets to bring down one of any major boss.

On silver I never have trouble taking it down in 1 mag, and I have the same setup as both of you. It's almost as effective on gold. Maybe multiplayer just hates you? Becaues it seems like our gun stats are different xD.
Oh, and 2 destroyers with Typhoons is just overkill. I haven't managed to play a game with 4 yet. Posted Image

Guys, guys, can't we all just... get along?

Seriously, I need you two to reconcile, because the version of events I'm seeing in the end falls somewhere between what each of you think... so by getting you guys to agree, I can finally force my interpretation on you, and then everyone else...

in other words, I am indoctrinating you...:devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil:

Back in the real world, about a couple of things you lot were talking about:

I think you're looking too much into the explosion stuff.  It's just for the sake of excitement, drama.  Whether the shields go down, things are toppled or shattered or vaporised etc. etc.  It's a red herring.  Btw, I don't think Harbinger is actually trying to miss, though I can see how that steps on some people's toes... (sorry)

Ditto with the armour.  Whether the running sequence is real or not, they needed a generic Shepard costume for the final scenes, both to make sure that your custom armour didn't interfere with how Shepard looks and what happens to him/her after, and also so that the easter egg clip of Destroy Shepard 'waking up/gasping' matches what your wearing (otherwise they'd have to use in-game graphics rather than FMV at the end)
