Well I doubt those rumors have any merit besides that people just really want to see a new faction in the game and the most logical one would be collectors. It's not like the rumors had a source or something it's just people want to see the collectors.

Unless they found a way to have the adjutants in Omega by fixing there problem, and maybe that is why they aren't going to annonce IT because they are trying to find a way to have Shepard losse control of him/herself for a while.

I think it's much more plausible that they scrapped Adjutants (they were a big problem, and adding them means adding them in MP) for Collectors. They add them in MP and Omega. It would work great, and we could fight Harbinger in MP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!masster blaster wrote...

And anyway, how is galactic molestation any better? It's actually much worse. Synthesis also rewrites organics and synthetics alike, as proven by me, and others.
They say destroy is morally bad, but ignore how control and especially synthesis are much worse.
