Actually, I did too. It was foreshadowed. Especially since it would be another both-Shepards romance option. It seems we're lacking those.

Okay, so I was watching an episode of Stargate SG-1, where they had this mind probe thing, and while this was happening, there was an echo from their voices (just like in the decision chamber). Not to mention in the mind probe, let's just say that Jacob was disguised as Apophis to try and get information out of Sam. Jacob asked Sam an issue that was resolved a while ago, but he asked it again anyways. Sam then followed up by saying that issue was resolved as well as by saying this isn't real.

In short, it's kind of similar to the Starchild being disguised as a Reaper (instead of a young boy) and trying to trick you into picking control/synthesis, only to end up being indoctrinated.

Maybe the writers got inspired by SG-1 or something.

I dont see what Estebanus(ister?) sees in the Traynor romance. It just seems really sub-par to me. Like, it doesnt even feel like a real relationship to me.

I skipped most of MaleShep's dialogue. I just wanted to see the Jack and Tali romances.

I never understood why we only have one Asari romance option. Almost Shiala, almost Samara. Not that I have anything against Liara, mind you. She is an ITer, afterall

It could end up like "the romance" with Samara.  In another time, in another life... Although, in this case it would be a tremendous waste of energy used to open a portal between alternate Universes.

On a slightly off-topic ramble - If they ever do a trailer for an IT reveal DLC - how about this Florence and the Machine song for a soundtrack? 

Plenty of lyrics that could fit - "No light, no light in your bright blue eyes" (assuming you picked destroy, of course ). 

"A revelation in the light of day" and so on.

Plus Bioware might still have a contract with her after she did the end-credits theme to DA2?

Usually he edits the OP and adds new stuff, but the name of the thread was always:
"The Indoctrination Theory: A logical look at the Catalyst Con"
Now it is:
"The Deception Theory: A logical look at the Catalyst Con"
I think that had to happen sooner or later since both theories became too different lately.
