So, new patch coming out. Cool. Also, I find the, "Future...things," bit VERY interesting. I wonder just what that could mean.

Very intriguing. My guess is that the patch will include code that will make it easier to include a new faction in MP (Collectors, mayhaps). I'll be looking forward to what the data miners come up with after the patch goes live. Damn teases!

I agree 100%. Collectors are my guess, since they've been very quiet about the new MP DLC and it is the only thing that was leaked that hasn't come true yet.

Getting back to my question...the default choices for ME 2 definetly gave a more renegade vibe for Shep (and I'm talking about w/o the ability to choose in the interactive comic)...what was the vibe for ME 3 (haven't played as a default character yet)?

You know, since Shep doesn't complete any of the ME2 loyalty missions in the default set of choices, the only real indicator of whether ME2 Shep was Paragon or Renegade is the Collector base, which was destroyed.  But there's still the matter of how all the ME1 choices were either Renegade or not made.  I'd say that default Shep, choices wise, anyway, is at least a Renegon.

Thanks.  Knowing this...what would you think is the impact of the tone that Bioware is trying to set with the character on the end of the game - keeping in mind that IT is possible?

I think that's interesting, because it makes destroy the only choice with low EMS and easier to get mid EMS destroy etc. Destroy = win!

I doubt it. They already said they wouldn't add enemies in SP without adding them in MP. Adding another enemy type to the Reaper faction in MP would fracture our order of battle. Strategies would be rendered useless. I don't see this happening. What I do see, is a completely different faction. Collectors. Replacing Adjutants with them would be one of Bioware's best decisions!

true but Bioware originally had them in the game but had to cut them out because their teleporting causes problems on the engine

I know. I think instead of fixing that issue, they removed the entire enemy, and replaced them. New evidence for that mindset comes from today's patch. Instead of fixing Concussive Shot's ammo type upgrade, they removed it and replaced it. Adding collectors makes sense in at least 13 different ways!

"Just finished ME3. I didn't know my squadmates could teleport...strange, innit?@JessicaMerizan

Jessica Merizan: @TomMarcotte1 not teleporting - can't explain now though to keep my feed spoiler free :)"

Am I the only one wondering what she meant? I mean, that was long before EC. Besides IT, what could it be?

I should go.

Probably means they had something else planned, that Merizan happened to see/preview, that they had to change or postpone due to the backlash.

Hey, I just saw that it's Masster Blaster's birthday! Happy birthday, Masster Blaster!

Also, I'm leaving soon. I'll probably never be on these forums again, so I'm just gonna say goodbye, and have a fun time speculating! Who knows? Maybe all this waiting will pay off pretty soon!

So yeah, goodbye people. It's been a fun time speculating with you guys.

Just watched the control ending again... it's so creepy how Shreaper consistently talks about 'the many', without ever actually mentioning 'the races of the galaxy'.

If you replace every instance of 'the many' with 'the Reapers' the whole thing takes on a drastic new meaning. It's really creepy.

I mean think about it, the Reapers are 'the many', they are each a nation of millions of harvested organics. All Reapers together represent all the harvested races ever since the Reapers were created. That's sure a hell of a lot more than the organics of just the current cycle. Sovereign says they are 'legion'.

I really don't understand how people can't see an ambiguous message in that whole monologue.

Was trying to read through some of the pages to catch...but saw something that interested me and felt the need to post. So if by not reading all the pages to catch up, I missed someone saying this I apologize. But earlier it seems the discussion of the Surkesh Mole came up again...with of course accusations being thrown around all over the place. I have said before, that I think that the mole mentioned on Surkesh is not that important - simply because it is not brought up again. The mole's impact is only on that part of the story.

But as I said, seeing the discussion again got the wheels turning. If we are to truly discover the identity of the mole, we need to like at what is happening at that specific moment in the story. While taking into account all of the machinations of the universe. Simply put...what is the arc, who are all the players, and what are their motivations.

When you do this I think it is fair to say that the immediate arc being dealt with is the Genophage Cure - and while this has ramifications on the rest of the universe as a whole, these are better dealt with when looking at the major players' motivations. To me, the major players' for this moment in this arc are - Wrex (or Wreav, although I don't know why anyone would have this guy), Victus and the Dalatross. Wrex wants the cure to bring his people back to relevance (Wreav the same, but his relevance is making war against the rest of the galaxy). Victus wants to do what is necessary to get aid for his people. And the Dalatross does not want to repeat "the mistake" with the Krogan again.

If we look at things from this angle...we could see that the major player that has something to be gained from the Surkesh mission failing is...the Dalatross. And the reason that the mole is never mentioned again, is by the end of this arc there is a resolution to this question. Linron fits...I have other reasons to believe this, but just let this ruminate a bit.

Well in synthesis you would share thoughts with the Reapers...

The thing that bothered me about Edi's speech was the tone - it was all, "Shepard made it so I am a real girl"...but if you took the time to talk to her throughout the game - this was pretty much already happening (at least if you went paragon)...
