Does no one here remember some of the planet descriptions of ME1 anymore? Like "Aphras" for example?

Fossil evidence shows abundant vertebrates and evidence of a sapient terrestrial avian species in its Bronze Age. However, the only trace of contemporary life on the planet is that of single-celled organisms in its seas. All else has suffered from an extinction event - a series of massive impacts that vaporized vast quantities of water and lofted dust into its atmosphere. Early theories that this event was a collision with a fragmenting asteroid have now been discounted - the impact craters were aimed directly at habitation centers.

The reapers DID exterminate pre-space faring civilizations for teh lulz (apparently). So the drawings could have been made by one of those civilizations.

You have no evidence that the reapers were on Terra. Also, are you telling me that cavemen existed at the same point a galactic civilization did? On the same damn planet? That makes no sense.

Oh god, lets hope it doesnt turn out like the Halo lore, where, from what I understand, not only were humans a spacefaring species 100,000 years ago, they were about as advanced as the mythical Forerunners, and were even at war with the Forerunners, but the Forerunners beat them in the war and destroyed all their tech and records, so we became cavemen or something.

It'd be like discovering primitive humans were advanced enough to put up a decent fight against the Reapers and almost beat them.

wait..didn't Guilty Spark say that humans "are Forerunner?"

Not according to Halo 4 apparently.

*sigh*  I really wish SOME lore out there would just stick with its continuity...

Well, Guilty Spark was always like half rampant anyways. I wouldnt exactly take him as the best source of intel.

Plus, the Prophets made the same mistake. Thats why they made the Covenant declare war on Humanity. They thought that humans were surviving Forerunner, and the idea that any Forerunner didnt make the Great Journey would have undermined their religion, so they tried to wipe humanity out to keep the secret from getting out.

Actually guilty spark does not mention humans beign forerunner. People only assume so because he calls them reclaimers. Forerunner are a different spicies but still bipedal and 5 fingered like humans. Its not completly fresh in my memory, but from what i remember: Forerunner were dominant empire in the galaxy, they only strived for peace with no conflict within their own spieces. The only civilisation reaching their level of technology where humans, but because of humans constant violence they decided to strip them of technology and turn them back to prehistoric level to stop conflicts.

Firefight Weapons Pack

Players will soon be able to arm themselves with the Firefight Pack, a new Single Player Weapon Pack available for download August 7 for $2 or 160 MS points. The Firefight Pack will feature two powerful new weapons and five bonus weapons to use in the fight to Take Back Earth!

The Firefight Pack includes the following weapons:

Indra Sniper Rifle
: Fully automatic sniper rifle.

The Indra's low-powered scope leaves it most effective at medium range, but many soldiers believe this limitation is offset by the gun's rapid rate of fire. The Indra is the first military-grade, fully automatic sniper rifle. It has an extremely efficient heat-sink system that allows a surprisingly large number of shots to be fired before the weapon ejects its thermal clip.

Krysae Sniper Rifle: Heavy turian sniper rifle with explosive rounds and an automatic scope for all-range fighting.

This turian antimateriel rifle is modified to kill Reaper enemies. The Krysae's scope uses a rangefinder that adjusts to keep the target in proper proportion to the shooter, which comes in useful when the sniper is forced into close range. Its specialized ammunition is both armor-piercing and explosive. In a desperate move, the turians released its specifications over the extranet so that nearly anyone with a fabricator could manufacture this weapon to help the war effort.

Reegar Carbine: Quarian electrical weapon that's best at close range.

This electrical weapon improves upon the arc pistol's design by generating a sustained current on its target. This weapon is named for the quarian Reegar family, whose marines have served valiantly against the geth.

Harrier Assault Rifle: Full-auto Cerberus rifle with low recoil and heat generation.

These Cerberus-modified Mattock rifles are fully automatic. Cerberus gunsmiths reined in the recoil issues, resulting in a gun that stays on target but delivers slightly less punch per round than a standard Mattock. As such, the weapon is typically utilized by Cerberus's elite troops who train constantly to make every burst count.

Geth SMG: Fully-automatic geth submachine gun. Its rate of fire increases when the trigger is held.

This submachine gun works on the same principles as the Spitfire: it shoots superconducting toroids that break apart on impact, retaining an electrical charge that flash-converts the shrapnel into plasma. Unlike the Spitfire, however, this smaller geth weapon has been modified to take thermal clips. Holding down the trigger speeds up its rate of fire, rapidly depleting the gun’s heat sink in exchange for nearly continuous fire.

Blood Pack Punisher SMG: Submachine gun with a secondary barrel that fires armor-piercing rounds.

The Punisher features a secondary barrel that fires one armor-piercing round per main-barrel burst. It was developed by Blood Pack gunsmiths who found that their vorcha recruits frequently forgot to optimize ammo loads in the heat of combat. This configuration makes the process automatic and highly effective at penetrating armor.

Adas Anti-Synthetic Assault Rifle: Electrical weapon that's effective against shields and synthetic targets.

Named in memory of the quarians killed in the Morning War on the planet Adas, this weapon's electrical attack has been optimized for medium- to long-range firefights. Alliance marines take issue with calling it a "rifle" since, technically, it has no rifling in its barrel. The quarians shrug this off, as quarian weapon terminology rarely translates flawlessly into human languages.

All 3 weapons from Rebellion are featured here, the Geth SMG from Resurgence. There's also the Indra, which goes with the Argus and Raider as pre-order guns. That leaves (from MP) the Collector rifle (no idea why this isn't in SP), the Piranha, the Typhoon, the Acolyte, the Striker, and the Kishock. I bet the Kishock will be in Omega (likely with a batarian squadmate). If you don't count the Collector AR, then there are 5 more guns to go into SP, just like how they added 5 with Firefight.

at the end of Halo 3 Spark states to Master Chief "You are the child of my makers.  Inheritor of all they left behind.  You ARE Forerunner."

Even Gravemind alludes to this when the Master Chief infiltrates the infected High Charity "Child of my enemy, why have you come?"  I offer no forgiveness.  A father's sins, cast to his son."

Catalyst says, "Just as we left your people alone the last time we were here." That's the best Evidence we've got that the reapers visited our planet and took out who ever was above us.

Also, I'm not saying the cave drawings are human and on earth. I think they are Asari, depicting the war they witnessed with the reapers and protheans. They may have even contributed. Again, Javik mentions actively training Asari to be the future's reaper killers.

Javik never said that they trained them to be reaper killers. He says that he believed them to be the best hope for this cycle, and I'm sure he was lying, since he more or less told Shepard afterwards that he did it to make Liara feel better.

Also, humanoid life can't suddenly grow on the same planet where other humanoid life may already live.

I think the Temple on Thessia is more evidence that supports that the Protheans were teaching and training the Asari. They directly intervined in their development.

Unless that humanoid life form was external, like the protheans were to the asari and the likes.

Some of the busts around the beacon look a lot like protheans, too.

Which I found so stupid. No one noticed that Javik  or any of the collectors resembled Protheans?

Is this posted somewhere? because I've not heard of this.  Ugh, why change things in such a way 343?  And BW too since the Dark Energy plotline sounds like it was far more interesting than the whole "destroy you so you won't be destroyed" thing.

Still, really intrigued by Leviathan.

The Humans also fought war with the Flood.

Hell, they even had a 'cure' for the Flood.

Just remember guys when Leviathan is released don't get your hopes up too much. Arrival was not the first but the last DLC and the real end to ME2. We haven't gotten our "Arrival" yet. Leviathan is going to start filling in some of the holes.

To use an analogy the ME3 ending is like a wheel of fortune game and we have a five word phrase on the wall and only have two vowels on the board. We are not even close to the: "I'd like to solve the puzzle Pat"

So what? 800 points for the DLC and 240 for the guns?

Oh also, we know leviathan can "kick you out of your own head"

Maybe part of the indoc hinting will be leviathan doing something similar to what harbinger does at the end?
