And i'm not suggesting they do it immideatly - i just thought it would be a cool thing to do. Isn't it what this thread is about - discussing what would be cool to do if IT is true?

Nobody said the idea isn't cool. Just that Shepard would interact completely differently with all the squad than how a noob would. And if Shepard is there you can bet Garrus, Tali,Liara etc wouldn't turn there backs on him by not staying.

It really would be two entirely different games. I'd rather they spend those resources on making one amazing game

Yes....but what is your whole crew is indoctrinated? and when shepard wakes up he can't meet up with them right away, and is forced to work with a totally new crew? And during the course of the game you fill find your squaddies in different places, making them snap out of the indoctrination?  as a new character you'll just get new crew and still go to the same places and meet your squaddies and they are still indoctrinated to some degree (still fighting the reapers but doing more harm than good, or being like sleeper agents ready to snap at any second or both)

If they're already indoctrinated, they can't be snapped out of it. Maybe Liara (like her mother) but only temporarily. If you actually mean " in-the-process-of", then it's possible. :unsure:Maybe.

i mean like Shiala - being a sleeper agents and not realising it - it would just take a small thing - like prevent them from blowing themselves up so they can realise what is going on with then and keep it at bay, like shepard if he wakes up realising the ME3 ening was a hallucination.

if they're a sleeper, they've already made the choice. There's indoctrinated, the process, and not indoctrinated.

welll, you might have to kill some of them. (unless you're shepard, and then you have a small chance of snapping them out of it)

A prequel might be really cool if BioWare decided to set it in Leviathans' times. We would witness how the thralls really were treated, how they developed lethal machines. Finally, we would get a chance to see how Leviathans created the Intelligence and what happened when it arrived at the Reaper solution.

I would rather see myself this kind of story in some sort of short movie or ingame cinematic. Guys are right, prequel won't work in ME Universe. Cycles before = creating completely new game world, races, technologies, events, characters, everything. First Contact War = humanity yet without crucial technologies, only one other race, conflict we know how ends. It simply won't work.

Next ME game (in my opinion) also can't overlap with current events. If we take endings literal for a moment: major part of the galaxy is completely / partially destroyed and currently rebuilding, everybody's exhausted, Reaper threat is over. Nothing really interesting if you ask me. But give the game's world at least a hundred years, and the writers can literally do anything with it. New technologies, maybe a way to travel to other galaxy, etc. That's why it has to be placed in some longer future.

Well, the final outcome of the prequel would be known to the player but the game would allow for an in-depth exploration of the events we only heard of from Leviathan. In this case the play would be more important than the ending.

So, Banshee and I were watching the Earth DLC trailer again, because it's awesome, and he noticed something very interesting. I'll get the that in a second, though. The trailer is mostly made out of SP and MP footage, but there are a couple scenes which are brand new.
In London there are three scenes: a shot of the N7 & Anderson group standing in a circle, which then cuts to a long shot of the same, with Reaper forces closing in. Then, at the end of the trailer, it shows the same circle again.
In Rio, it shows a Shuttle flying in, and then later, a squad of a Destroyer, Fury, Demolisher, and Slayer jump out of the shuttle on the walkway on the waterfall side, near the middle building. Also, the scene earlier of the same four most likely is part of this as well.

That's right, four Cruisers over London! There is no way this is taking place before the fleets arrive, and certainly not during the final battle in game. Also, it looks like this:

Hmm...
All credit to Banshee for finding this

The fleets overhead...

That's, er, I can't believe nobody's noticed so far

Awesome speculating. Awesome find. I assume its Aria's Fleet from the leak. Very cool.

Looks weird. For being the Normandy I think the angles are not correct. It would resemble the SR1 more than the SR2.
It also reminds me of those flying drones/automated turrets (like on Luna).

If the squadmates are far enough gone that they aren't even around Shepard to fight and need to be saved before they hurt themselves (I think Miranda is a cutter) than they're already indoctrinated. There's only way to snap out of that and it involves a thermal clip. You can fight off succumbing to Reaper influence but once you're turned your turned

Yes but what if they are not fully turned? just their judgment slighly changed or their resolve weakened? like having doubts. hasitating to do what is right? or making wrong calls?

Could be a Turian ship. It looks like a Turian ship and the Normandy was co-designed by Turians so I could understand the mistake.

Welp, no MP DLC next Tuesday, but with NYCC starting the 11th, I suspect we'll get some announcements then (Perhaps both MP and Omega dates). Also, we should get the next Operation brief tomorrow.

EDIT: Still think that pastebin timetable is a hoax.

Yeah, that one seems very accurate. All SP DLCs are exactly 9 weeks apart from each other, starting at the EC and ending on March 5th, 2013. The release dates for future DLCs are related to the Easter Eggs you can find in Vancouver.

I remember they said that after they started working on Mass Effect 3, they had enough experience with the Unreal Dev Kit that they could roll content out more quickly. Still, 8 DLC in the next four months? There was a four month gap from the time Mass Effect 2 was released and it's first DLC (Overlord I believe). I'm kind of remaining skeptical on this one. If it turns out to be true, then that's okay too.

It's hard to maintain an exact 9 week dlc schedule. There's bound to be delays or interference. I wouldn't bank on that being exactly how it goes. We shall see
