Notice that TIM says in this video: "I'm am a PINNACLE of our species!".

While playing ME trilogy I noticed that words PINNACLE and APEX is favourite words of Reapers/Leviathans.

Hmm. I wonder if Omega will have us fighting not just in Omega but also past the Omega-4 Mass Relay again?

I ask because I just realized something interesting. My Greek mythology's a bit rusty but... The underworld is divided into two parts. Tartarus and the Elysian Fields. Simple terms, Tartarus is their version of Hell and the Elysian Fields is Heaven. Cerberus is the guardian of the underworld, to keep the living out and the dead in. It's a massive three-headed dog. I bring this up because a little known fact is that the area past that relay was called the "Tartarus Debris Field". And guess who's now guarding that relay? Cerberus.

219 I was just about to say that, yet it shouldn't be there if you Destroyed the base, unless Cerberus has been rebuilding it for....other reasons we do not know yet.

Also I wonder if this will be the momunte of truth if your chocies mattered if you

Destroyed the base, or saved the base.

Badger please don't say Tartarus. I am still sad over what happened at the end of Athena, and that place is the cause of my sadness.

Looks like a Alliance Dreadnaught than a Collector Base to me.

Makes sense atleast, so where are our Elysian Fields? Wasn't that place reserved for great heroes and such? My mythology is a bit rusty

Elysium.  It was part of the Skyllian Blitz.  It's where War Hero Shepard earned the Star of Terra and where Jon Grissom retired.

Unrelated: Man, I'd forgotten how much fun it is to bring Legion to Tali's trial.  Even Javik's got nothing on that level of trolling.

All the dreadnoughts in-game look the same, they just have palette changes for each faction. And the object on the right could either be Omega or the Collector Base, to me it looks to thick to be Omega, but who knows?

My guess: Cerberus Dreadnought (Petrovsky's command ship) just outside Omega. Figure appears Salarian to me with a similar hood as Kasumi's. Wish it were a clearer pic.

True enough, although I don't see how people can think its a Collector base of ship though. I mean true, there could be some collectors out left somewhere. But this to me looks like a Human built ship. The shape, design, everything

I'm not going to speculate on that figure haha. It is just so obscured and Bioware could have easily shopped in something to block the face or blur it like it seems it is. I dunno but it's securely stuck in my head until Omega comes out..

Edit: The object on the right (if we are still on the fence about whether it is Omega or the CB) looks clearly like the hologram of the CB we see in ME2 during the Suicide Mission, just blue instead of gray.

Also does Liara's face look really strange to anyone else in the AnswerHQ banner on the left?

I don't think anyone is suggesting that the ship in red is Collector in origin. It's the blue object to the right of it they're referring to. Could be Omega or a Collector Base/Ship, but I think it's Omega.

It's just a tech support forum. "Ask. Answer. Be The Hero. Do Our Work For Us."

There are actually three areas: Tartarus, Asphodel, and Elysion (commonly romanized as Elysium). Like you said, they very roughly correspond to Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. Unlike Purgatory, Asphodel is your ending spot rather than an intermediary zone. It should also be mentioned that Tartarus is not only where the bad people go, but it is also the prison of some of the Titans (including Cronus) and various monsters and daemons (god-like beings).

There are also five rivers in Hades: Styx, Phlegethon, Lethe, Cocytus, and Acheron. Each of them has their own properties such as Phlegethon being on fire and Lethe made all that drank from it forget.

Also, hi everyone. Been lurking because I haven't had much time to post.

The large blue object could be a Collector base, Collector ship, or Omega.  I can see all three working.

Then again, I also think the hooded figure in the back looks like M'aiq the Liar.

Just to add to the Greek mythology Underworld posts, I feel like throwing this quote into the game. I wanted to post this a while back on the main forum but I know nobody would really care about it like the IT thread might. :) I've been sitting on it until it was relevant.

www.monologuearchive.com/k/kyd_001.html

The Ghost's monologue from Thomas Kyd's "The Spanish Tragedy" entertains the Greek view of the Underworld in a very redgreenblue way! This is the play that kicked off the revenge tragedy genre, inspired Hamlet, and this particular quote is a lot of people's reference to the Greek underworld if they're not already familiar with Aeneid or Edith Hamilton... and funny that we have TIM, aka Cerberus, guarding our version of the Underworld decision chamber...

Three ways there were, that on the right hand side
Was ready way unto the foresaid fields,
Where lovers live, and bloody martialists,
But either sort contain'd within his bounds.
The left hand path declining fearfully,
Was ready downfall to the deepest hell,
Where bloody furies shake their whips of steel,
And poor Ixion turns an endless wheel.
Where userers are chok'd with melting gold,
And wantons are embrac'd with ugly snakes:
And murderers groan with never killing wounds,
And perjur'd wights scalded in boiling lead,
And all foul sins with torments overwhelm'd.
'Twixt these two ways, I trod the middle path,
Which brought me to the fair Elysian green.
In midst whereof there stands a stately tower,
The walls of brass, the gates of adamant.

Reason #497 that I can't ever get behind a literal interpretation of the ending.
