Also I wonder if this will be the momunte of truth if your chocies mattered if you

Destroyed the base, or saved the base.

Yeah I think it might! If you saved it the base will be there, if you didn't perhaps there will be a debris field? Not sure. But it makes sense they'd be on the other side of the relay since they took parts of the proto-reaper to Cronus station.

The large blue object could be a Collector base, Collector ship, or Omega.  I can see all three working.

Then again, I also think the hooded figure in the back looks like M'aiq the Liar.

M'aiq would fit right in at Bioware.

I still don't get why they don't have a high res version of that picture on the website anywhere yet...as for the mysterious figure, could it be Tazzik?

@Rifneno: Bringing Legion to Tali's trial is fun...just wish that was easier to do w/o sacrificing the crew...b/c of that its usually reserved for renegade playthroughs (for me) and those are few and far between...too much of goody two shoe.

Just to add to the Greek mythology Underworld posts, I feel like throwing this quote into the game. I wanted to post this a while back on the main forum but I know nobody would really care about it like the IT thread might. :) I've been sitting on it until it was relevant.

The Ghost's monologue from Thomas Kyd's "The Spanish Tragedy" entertains the Greek view of the Underworld in a very redgreenblue way! This is the play that kicked off the revenge tragedy genre, inspired Hamlet, and this particular quote is a lot of people's reference to the Greek underworld if they're not already familiar with Aeneid or Edith Hamilton... and funny that we have TIM, aka Cerberus, guarding our version of the Underworld decision chamber...

Three ways there were, that on the right hand side
Was ready way unto the foresaid fields,
Where lovers live, and bloody martialists,
But either sort contain'd within his bounds.
The left hand path declining fearfully,
Was ready downfall to the deepest hell,
Where bloody furies shake their whips of steel,
And poor Ixion turns an endless wheel.
Where userers are chok'd with melting gold,
And wantons are embrac'd with ugly snakes:
And murderers groan with never killing wounds,
And perjur'd wights scalded in boiling lead,
And all foul sins with torments overwhelm'd.
'Twixt these two ways, I trod the middle path,
Which brought me to the fair Elysian green.
In midst whereof there stands a stately tower,
The walls of brass, the gates of adamant.

Reason #497 that I can't ever get behind a literal interpretation of the ending.

Nice! That is creepily similar

I thought he was too truthful to be a Bioware employee?

Hmm. I wonder if Omega will have us fighting not just in Omega but also past the Omega-4 Mass Relay again?

I ask because I just realized something interesting. My Greek mythology's a bit rusty but... The underworld is divided into two parts. Tartarus and the Elysian Fields. Simple terms, Tartarus is their version of Hell and the Elysian Fields is Heaven. Cerberus is the guardian of the underworld, to keep the living out and the dead in. It's a massive three-headed dog. I bring this up because a little known fact is that the area past that relay was called the "Tartarus Debris Field". And guess who's now guarding that relay? Cerberus.

And why bother naming the debris field if this wasn't the plan?

Bioware just wants to keep people speculating and thinking about it:O, it's not of great quality so we just barely can't make anything out.

I forgot Tazzik existed.  But yeah, that's a good guess.  I always figured we'd be seeing him in a DLC when the freak managed to not die through the comics.  He actually ends up being Feron's guard.  Good troll, Liara.  Good troll.

Looked back at the cover pic of Tazzik from the comic...the mysterious character looks a little too svelte to be Tazzik...but it could be Feron, and where Feron goes...

Reposting for all those that didn't see it yesterday Posted Image

So, Banshee and I were watching the Earth DLC trailer again, because it's awesome, and he noticed something very interesting. I'll get the that in a second, though. The trailer is mostly made out of SP and MP footage, but there are a couple scenes which are brand new.

In London there are three scenes: a shot of the N7 & Anderson group standing in a circle, which then cuts to a long shot of the same, with Reaper forces closing in. Then, at the end of the trailer, it shows the same circle again.

In Rio, it shows a Shuttle flying in, and then later, a squad of a Destroyer, Fury, Demolisher, and Slayer jump out of the shuttle on the walkway on the waterfall side, near the middle building. Also, the scene earlier of the same four most likely is part of this as well.

Back to the big important find! This!
Posted Image

That's right, four Cruisers over London! There is no way this is taking place before the fleets arrive, and certainly not during the final battle in game.

Also, it looks like this:
Posted Image

Hmm...

All credit to Banshee for finding this

Also, while I'm at it, I'd like to mention a few more interesting post-end type things from these two trailers. This is the base for the post-ending Rio idea I came up with:

Look at the way each character moves and acts; the Destroyer is Shepard, the Fury is Anderson, and the Demolisher and Slayer and Squadmate 1 and 2.
Posted Image

"Anderson" turns and says something to everyone.
Posted Image

Camera zooms in on "Shepard", who looks around. This is pretty much the same as all of the "just about to take control of Shepard before a mission" scenes ever.
Posted Image

Also, Hammerhead!

I love how ME has a lot of references to mythology, especially mythology of the Greek sort. That quote...that's really, really, creepy.

Hmm, this is interesting, I expected an op that we are destined to fail due to the fabled MP DLC coming soon. I'm not sure how easy this is because I dont know how many people still have interest in MP.Edit: Maybe we will get the DLC not this op but next op?

Easy Op. A bit boring, though, since it's essentially "Play as you normally would" for the Allied Goal.

Agreed.  But OTOH, it means we're more likely to succeed since people won't have to deviate from their normal style.  Unless their normal style is to suck.
