lol I love that masster blaster is going to go rogue on a secret account as if anyone wouldn't be able to spot his posts from a mile away. If he wants to do it though more power to him. I don't understand what gives Byne the right to call people's ideas stupid and act like a jerk and everyone just plays it off but if someone else were to do it they'd get their throats jumped down. do whatever you want masster. get it out of your system and live and learn.

You resist, but you will fail. The cycle must continue.

We're all telling him it's a bad idea, because it is.

Presidium Groundskeeper: Everything would be so much simpler if we all had the same DNA. But no, the universe loves diversity

Looking back, I hate that guy now.

But his cut dialogue about human boobs is hilarious.

The whole diversity thing really annoys me, as a biologist and as a semi-intelligent human being, it's hard to accept that "humans have more genetic diversity than anybody else!" I cringe when Mordin makes a comment in reference to this in ME2, he's so much smarter than that. For a series based mostly on scientific fact whenever possible, it clearly shows a lack of serious research done by the writers. Unless it is intentionally wrong and meant to throw us off (insert "Does this prove IT?" here).

Also, thanks for the speculations link, I went digging back 20 pages and couldn't find anything interesting to read.

One could argue, since this is an alternate universe where an element like Eezo exists, that perhaps it's also an alternate universe where our species didn't bottleneck and lose our diversity. Seems like an okay thing to assume.

Krogan survive on a planet that kills them constantly until they got guns and the a-bomb, Salarians have a strict mating ritual, Asari are mono-gendered and before they had alien sex, they had to do it with each other or animals, I guess. Turians? I dunno, they were considered too primative. Quarians have weak immune systems and the other species are pretty much undesirables.

So maybe humans could still be more genetically diverse than the other species because of special circumstances even if the bottleneck still happened.

Byne is pretty moderate most of the time, actually. He usually talks the rest of us down from stupid crap.

So let him find it out by himself. If people are so clueless as to believe he is the chosen representative of the entire Indoctrination Theory, then they were probably never going to support it to begin with. Let him do his thing so he can get out of this phase he's in.

Not like anyone can truly stop him anyway.

Whatever happened to more logical contributors like Simon_Says?

Most of us prefer to just let the sleeping dog lie and, as I said before, we're in a tenuous cease-fire at the moment anyway. All Seival did was spray a few bullets indiscriminately over the perimeter walls today.

it seems, as the DLC comes and goes, we're being more and more vindicated and fair-weather friends will return.

That's subjective. Where ITers believe Leviathan solidified IT, literalists believe it definitively disproved it.

That's because they're in a denial echo chamber. If they were the least bit intellectually honest at all, they would have acknowledged the Shep-in-Leviathan's-dream-world bit being so similar to the ending.

we could go on for pages about how that strengthened IT and didn't even change some of it.

All I'm saying is, if you believe in the literal version of the endings and Leviathan foreshadows the catalyst (lol a paid dlc that's added months after the game that acts as the only foreshadowing of the final character introduced in the game = pathetic) that is strong evidence against IT.

All Leviathan said was that there was an intelligence. Theres no proof we ever met it.

Not really. There's nothing wrong with the Intelligence actually existing, along with the fact that Shepard knowing about it beforehand adds to the "built from memories" thing.

If nothing else; Masster may want to consider that a great many forums have seen fit to disallow users having multiple accounts.
Now, this does not seem to be the case here, as long as those accounts are not used to pose as other users/staff, but it is still treading the line and the sort of behaviour indicated, is just the sort that has forced so many other fora to tighten their terms of service - it's a dishonest, spamm-y way of debating and not so little transparent.

A good thing to point about about the whole 'Control is Paragon because its blue' argument is that it can be dismantled pretty easily.

Firstly, saving the Collector Base is 'blue'. Is that Paragon, handing over dangerous technology to a terrorist organisation and disgracing the horrific deaths of all those people in the name of science?

Secondly, blue in-universe means nothing. One of the most ruthless mercenary factions in the game are called the Blue Suns for goodness' sake!

Colour means nothing. Only the actions themselves.

Indeed.  The only time I can think of that colors do mean something, stars, they mean the opposite of what you'd think.  You'd assume a red star is hotter than a blue star.  No sir.  Blue ones are MUCH hotter and MUCH more luminous.  That blue supergiant behind TIM at the end of ME2 is one the hottest, brightest, radiation pukingest things in the galaxy.  He probably picked that image to convey how pissed off he was.

Actually keeping the base gives you the red star in the background, destroying the base (considered the paragon option) gives TIM the blue background.

Blue
Red
and just to show it isn't tied to your personal paragon/renegade rating, here's a renegade that chose to destroy the base
