Hey TSA, was it you who used the flycam to get a shot of the decision chamber?
If so, can you link me to it? I'd really like to add that to my list.

BTW: I still need points 9 and 10 and I'd also appreciate more on the meta front (would be best with links added). Much appreciated!
Also: TOP!

Regarding the end choices resembling the dialogue wheel I just had a very random speculation burst, which really doesn't mean anything, but I'm bored, so I'll post it anyway.

If it is a representation of the dialogue wheel, and control is paragon and destroy renegade, then synthesis is the middle or "neutral" option, right? But they chose to entirely remove the neutral options from the game, because you have to take a stand.

Now, sure, synthesis is not neutral, and choosing it is still taking a stand, but throughout the game we have been conditioned to pick either of the extremes, since there is no middle ground, even in situations where a middle ground would make sense, like in conversations with crew and squaddies.

So in addition to everything else synthesis has going against it, the dialogue wheel also tells us not to choose it. Perhaps this means that synthesis really is game over, and in the eventual IT DLC you get to see indoctrinated Shepard kill off his squad and celebrate the reaper victory with the husks, but with control there is still a chance to escape indoctrination, depending on the choices you've made (perhaps your LI can bring you back if you brought him/her along with you, or perhaps Bakara's crystal can aid you).

Yeah, just some random rambling/induction port-grasping...

On the other hand you could say that the absence of a neutral option made you susceptible to choose it, yet that it is something seldom and thus ... precious.
But I see your point and think it is reasonable.

Indeed, the rarity of the neutral option would make you susceptible to choose it, which is just another part of Bioware trying to indoctrinate the players? Like the reapers going all "Hey, Shep, this awesome synthesis thing has never been mentioned before but now that it's here, aren't you intrigued by its consequences?", Bioware are saying "Hey, player, this awesome neutral thing has never been an option before but now that it's here, aren't you intrigued by its consequences?".

It's all just another part of Bioware trying to trick the players... maybe?

Everyone's talking about synthesis, and that's the opposite of good. :(

Hi, do you have any picture/video using flycam to show that the decision chamber resembles a dialogue wheel? If yes, link it to me please.
And check IT's Top Ten in my signature.

TSA I ment on this thread not outaide. As much as I want to, I have to be a a hanar for now instead of a Krogan. Also is it me or did Bioware plan all of this to happen? Going back through the old articals/ interviews people have done, I, and many others can see what Bioware is saying in their interviews.

Spot makes good points about the old articals, and what Bioware has to say, however if you re read the artical, and interviews again you can see Bioware telling us something will cause us to take us some where at the end. The only problem is that they didn't expect so many to beat ME3, speculate on IT, and the full blunt of the backlash.

Also if Casey is talking about ME3's dlc already in January, then does that mean they have everything already? Maybe not the voice actors, but the dlc plot's in general.

Grabbing them you mean?  I suppose.  I'm on PC, don't have the patch yet myself.  Just seeing the lolocaust on MP forums as they see buffed geth.

And now no one sane will fight them except with kroguards.  How is this an improvement?

Okay um maybe we should check the patch in SP. I mean everything. They could have gotten ride of Coats in the Citadel, or maybe they fixed it so we can see coats. Remember there is 10 second pause where Coats body should be at, but it disapred after Shepard wakes up on the Citadel.

You make a point and I'm not being all that rational. Getting booted out of my own lobbies repeatedly for not switching to FFWGG has made me willing to stomach anything that ends it.

Ouch.  Yeah, I can see being angry at that.  Sadly, I'm not sure it'll end the farming.  Just make things more focused on killing pyros the old fashioned way before they can be a problem.  Singularity will help a lot since it's monsterous now.

It's probably not worth a point of its own, but under the choices section - how about adding that the means of selecting the 3 choices are highly symbolic? ie "Destroying" a tube with your gun, dominating the reapers by grabbing a pair of "Control" levers, a leap into the unknown for Synthesucks? Adds to the Freudian feel.

I can't think of many more specific thing that you haven't already covered - other than the implausibility of Shep surviving the blast with high ems and the general reversal of the game's themes of tolerance and diversity.

OH AND CHECK OUT THIS LITTLE COPY OF THE DECISION CHAMBER SCENE, MAYBE THAT WILL CLUE YOU IN!

Pic or it didn't happen...

Honestly though, are you referring to the three Levis with Shepard's mech in the foreground or something else?

- Shepard is on hands and knees, child walks up to him and says "Wake up."
- Shepard is on hands and knees, Ann walks up to him and says "Breathe."

The "Breathe." line is weird, it's clearly just there to mirror the "Wake up."

The similarities between the two scenes are meant to clarify that what's actually going on in the decision chamber. Because in Leviathan, you know you are looking at an illusion, because even though you see Ann Bryson, you still hear the Leviathan's voice. Plus, the first thing he says after "Breathe." is "Your mind belongs to me now." Then he goes on to explain that he's using your memories to build the illusion. ("Your memories will give voice to our words.")

Moments later, he explains that all Reapers have this power to influence organics, only the Reapers have perfected it to indoctrination. In other words, Reapers have a mind control power just like the Leviathans, which lets them build illusions from your memories, and they can do it even better than the Leviathans themselves.

The implications of this are driven home by the similiarities between the first moment of the Leviathan mind control and the first moment in the decision chamber.

Every time we see Shepard on hands and knees, there is some form of mind control going on.

- The blast from Object Rho gets Shepard on hands and knees.
- Leviathan's mind control gets Shepard on hands and knees.
- Shepard falls on hands and knees moments after Harbinger's blast.
- Beginning of the decision chamber scene.
